I don't play it so I might as well get rid of it and get what I can for it. It makes no sense to drop $400 on a PS3 and keep the PS2, games, and accessories.
The 40 gig PS3 is not backwards compatible, so it will not play any PS2 games. Also the game stores are not going to give you much for your PS2 (maybe 20-30bucks). If you are never going to play PS2 again I would just bundle it and sell it here. You would probably make more selling it than trading it.

damn it seems like i've been playing FOREVER, and i'm only 30% done. I have close to $400,000 already though.
If you want easy money, just find the big bank that is on the middle island (the one you have to rob). Sit outside and an armored truck will ride by sometimes. Blow it up with a RPG and money will fly out everywhere. Sprint around and pick it up. You will not be able to pick it all up before it disappears. I usually pick up around $5k. I don't really hang around the bank, but if I'm ever riding by, I'll look around for the truck. They can be found anywhere on the island.

Getting more addicted. Mostly BSing, but doing missions here and there.
The features in this game are awsome, and the smallest things that make it realistic are bad ass.
The guys on the back of the garbage truck, the peoples reactions to events, riding in the car and looking around.
But most of all, the likeness of the city is beyond words. I love it. Feels like I'm back home again.
i love the game it's very addictive. i went over a friend's house to play it and i was there for like 9hrs. its was crazy i love the missions,cars,and the background setting. also i heard from someone that if u drive around the whole map its takes like 2hrs but i dont thinks it's true the only thing i dont like is the way the cars handle but i've gotten use to it but definitly this game rocks.p.s i love the radio stations too.

yea i played it all weekend and totally got side tracked from doing missions once i opened the third island, i have done over like 20 unique jumps. i found a bad ass car behind a garage far north on the third island... is looks like an STI in the front with the hood, it has a carbon fiber hood and trunk and a huge intercooler and if you crash and the hood comes off the engine is red and says twin turbo, and the cool thing is it spits fire when it shifts and u can hear the blow off valve, its loud as ****!

I've got a Sultan, which looks like an IS300 up front and an E46 3-series sedan in the back...or even a Lancer Evolution 4 - 7. It sounds just like an Impreza and it's fast as hell. I've seen a riced out one in one of Brucie's races...is that the same car you're talking about?
It sounds silly, but I haven't really been impressed with the car's sounds in this game. San Andreas seemed to do those better. There are very few which sound good, or even real...and only a few actually fit the cars. Why does a big-ass 60s/70s-era convertible sound like a vacuum cleaner?
Nonetheless...I still love this game.

yea its like the sultan rs2 or something... it has a strip down the side and the exhaust comes out right behind the front wheels, lol i love that car.. its so freaking fast, its easily the fastest CAR in that game and handles as good as that ferrari... Its only in one spot on the map and its on the third island...Oh hell, I want to find that.

The Sultan RS which is the carbon fiber front, side exhaust that shoots fire, blow off valve, and is really quick is not the "STI" like car. There is a 2door car with a almost e46 front, it's a 2 door, sti hood scoop, sti wing with STD written on it.
I really am upset at the strategy guide for not showing all the cars.

There was one car in one of brucie's races that I can't seem to find. It looked like a pagani zonda, and had 4 exhaust pipes that came out in the center of the rear of the car in a circle. I can't find it anywhere.

Yea I finally got the infernus from bernie, drove it for about 20 seconds, and got t-boned at an intersection and spun into the damn ocean...
Does anyone know if there are any spawn points for that vehicle?

its on the third island lookf for the road at the far north, the highest road u can go on, and theres like a house out in the middle of the woods with a garage, its behind the garage in the bushes...

I personally like driviing a car at a high-rate of speed towards a gas-station then jumping out at the last minute, making the station explode when the car hits the fuel pump. Good times.
I always end up jumping out too late...and I roll towards the explosion.

Picked up my copy this morning and just stoped to take a break 2 hours and only 3 missions complete. Thing that suck is my tv broke last night so I have to play on a small non HD tv. Insurance FTW they said they will replace it today free of charge.

i love how if you get drunk on a date with the girl in the game you actually feel the effecs, as well as when you drive staight into a wall nico will fly through the winsheild lol this game is bad ass only thing i dont like is how dark some of the alleys or corners in the game are you cant see nico at all!
you can adjust the brightness and contrast in the pause menu.
This game is awsome played it for almost 5 hours straight friday night. Can't wait to get home from work so I can start playing again.
i might do that cause it was dark as hell and i couldnt see where i was going at all its fine in other parts of the game or in the day time or dusk but late night fuhgetaboutit

i finally got the lambo from bernie by far the best lookin car in the game hands down.
