    Default Going Tribal

I can't remember if it is on TLC or Discovery but the show is awesome. A little English dude goes to these remote ass places and spends a month or so with people that are tribal. The show is on tonight at 10:00 and I would definately reccomend to anyone that they watch it.

It is on TLC, I believe. I saw the commercial for it last night. Looks stupid enough to actually watch a little bit of. Later, QD.

I tell you what, I thought that it was going to be stupid and pretty much make fun of the indigenous peoples, however, it didn't. It really showcased the humanity and you really got a sense that even though their culture was different, extremely different, and they had no connection to the outside world or any modern conveniences, their humanity was really evident. Their thought processes and their wit as well as their hospitality and common sense was really brought to light and it was very interesting to truly get a feel for how those people live. I can't imagine living the way that they do, although I do sometimes feel that those people are the truly lucky ones because they have a greater sense of self and community than most people living in our so called "Modern Civilized Society." Like I said, they were pretty wild with some of their customs and rituals, but that is the norm for them and that is what you have to keep in mind. The host really tries to immerse himself in their culture and way of life and I really liked that. He didn't stand off in his safari clothes and try to study them so to speak. He studied them by becoming one of them and doing what they did. I really was pleased with the show.
