There was no argument. It won't go anywhere and it doesn't matter. Like you said, you can't argue the opinion of a rapper. But you can't (shouldn't) deny a rapper's role in the events. I can't stand Biggie Smalls or Jay Z or even 50 Cent. But at the same time, I can't deny that they made big impacts in rap. Jay and Smalls (posthumously) made much larger, longer impacts than 50, but they all did. Later, QD.

i think most of the rappers of today talk about stupid sh.it.. nas, lupe fiasco, kanye west, common, drake, currency, and more underground artist have the real main idea on rap. its not suppose to be about guns and ass. the ideas and lyrics should be based on life. personal experiences, and how living everyday suppose to be. we have artist who talks about sex and drugs all the time and it gets overrated having to listen to someone talk about the same sh.it on almost every track or every other track sounds the same

yeahhhhhh you likeeeee when she does thattttttt

They are ALL relevant to today's music for what they did in their time, mainstream and underground! The fact that they aren't on radio & MTV in no way, shape or form makes them irrelevant.

wayne is not the best alive, not the best of all time. He is just the best of OUR time and its hard to disagree with that if you look at the current ACTIVE rappers. young dude will be a legend when or if the syrup kills him. who else makes 100 songs a year with each verse a freestyle? You cant buy a cd or mixtape with wayne not having a feature. Dude is hot and the entire rap community knows it, even other artists.

He's definitely "hot" right now and there's no disputing his popularity. I just don't think he's the best. M.C. Hammer was hot at one point but, that sure as hell didn't make him the best of his time.

Have you noticed that a bunch of his "freestyles" here lately are a bunch of jibberish? I could freestyle better than some of the **** he has put out lately. Especially that lollipop bull****.

Im not discrediting him in anyway, just saying that his older **** was 3x better. He thinks untouchable and hes letting it get to his head. He thinks that because he put out a 100 songs or whatever that everyone of them was heat and that hes so ahead of the game. But 100 mediocre songs isnt as good as 20 good songs.

I've noticed that a while ago. When his name would come up in conversations, I'd always say "his lyrics sound like a bad freestyle". Now he's getting props for freestyling his verses on songs? I don't get it. Just because the verse is a freestyle does NOT make it hot!

This is one of those subjects that everyones gonna disagree on. No one is ever gonna be crowned as tha best rapper alive for tha simple fact that its all an opinion. I do get tired of hearing all these other rappers talkin **** on wayne though, like gillie, hes mad cause wayne left his ass in tha past. As far as wayne only being hot right now, nah, hes been like that for awhile now, hes not just gonna fade away, he will be a big part of this rap game till he dies.

You're kidding right? He's NOT been hot for that long. He's only been put on tracks recently for the last couple of years. He's been around for a while, but not near where he's at now or just recently. When he was at CM, the group as a whole, from around 1998-2001, did major things (along with No Limit). But solo has only seen him hot for a couple of years.

"He's not gonna fade away?" Seriously? Yes he is. Everyone fades away. Especially someone like him. He's a fad right now that will change either this year or next. Quote those words too, homie. Later, QD.

But just because i think that doesnt mean any of yall have to agree.

Trust my word (that's why I said you can quote me), I'm not just some dude that just started listening to rap when he thought Lil Jon was cool. I've been listening to rap since before you were born. Ten years before, lolol. So I know I have a little knowledge in what transpires in the game. Popularity is the only thing that keeps a rapper hot. But rap (what's left of it) is a rapidly changing genre right now. Styles come and go with a quickness. I'm telling you that within two years, I'm surely sooner, Wayne will be a has been.

Your right, he is hotter than he has been, and hes alot worse than what he was. What does that say about the Rap market right now? Basically that the majority of the people listening to wayne are retarded. If anyone will seriously say they think "lollipop" is better than any track on the Carter 1 or any track from Lights Out then they need to seek mental help.

Wayne will come to pass, he will leave his imprint on this industry and 20 years from now the younger generation wont know who he is. Just like some of the younger people on here not knowing who Kool G Rap and Luke are.

Yea i like his original stuff better. But i think tha whole point of "lollipop" is just to have a song that will be hot. And he did that, then he has his underground mixtapes and all that. Hes pretty smart, to be "****ed" up all tha time.

This is actually true. Most of his cameos, has him rhyming other's lyrics. Later, QD.

He does do that a lot. But mostly in his mixes when he has their beats. But I have never heard of him getting handed lyrics that are not in another song that someone else wrote and him taking credit for it. He has Freestyles out that are like 10 min. long.
