so is it a good movie Ran...and will anyone be dissapointed?

I loved it. By far my favorite giant-monster movie so far. The only reason I would see people disappointed is due to the lack of background information.

Why is the monster attacking?
What happened to the people who were [SPOILER]?
Where did it come from?
What really happened in the end?

These questions are left unanswered for the most part in the movie. A lot of the information was given out through the viral marketing campaign on the internet.

Also, be sure to stay through the credits. At the very end, there's a line that is said over radio static.
