If i saw right ...at the ferris wheel scene there was something that fell into the ocean..which i would guess is the monster...but maybe i was seeing things. did any one els see this?
Life is a thought, think about it.
I Heard it was a satellite or the monster. And if it was the satellite it woke up the monster or the monster itself was a baby when it fell in, was dormant until the drilling of the oil refinery.Originally Posted by YoTa_BoX

I saw the movie to night but something they didnt explain was the bite.....they all fraked out and took the woman a way and i wasnt quite sure what happen to her when they did....can any one explain
saw the movie tonight and it was intense!
yes i wish they could explain the origin of the creature a little bit more...but leaving the audience in dark about the creature made it even more menacing...

supposedly according to all the viral websites the monster originated from a toxin in a japanese drink called "slusho"....if u noticed the camera kept focusing on jason shirt which said slusho. there are also clues on the website www.slusho.jp........... and check this out this was cut from the movie....

it was a all around good moive!!!! The monster didn't look like any of thoes pictures tho. I do wish they could have went in more detail about the monster and like what happened after the monster too. But it was good.
"You just handle the justice, and I'll handle the revenge myself."
if they woudl have went into detail about the monster, it would have klled the point of view of the movie.
if that happened in reality, the normal person wouldnt know **** about nothing. For the point of view sake of the movie than there was no real way for them to know all the information about a monster that just comes from the water and attacks the city. i think were used to the basic outline for movies for them to have a scene where someone knows everything about the monster in these type of movies and they sit there and explain to everyone. But truthfully we wouldnt know anything.. But i bet there will be another one... cant wait!
damn they took down all of the cloverfield viral sites

I went and saw it and like it but I didn't notice the stuff you guys mentioned. I don't think it was bad even though I would have enjoyed more information but at the same time it fit with the way the story was as mentioned above. So all in all I think they captured their view on how it was told accurately.
Bozzio for president.
looks like a turtle, whale, and crab all together but godzilla size
what the hell. i went to see that **** and about threw up. the way it was filmed was about the dumbest method ever..i had to turn away every time they ran to keep my food down. my wife was having issues. People we know that were else where in the room were leaving from that **** making them sick. The movie is was very good...but holy crap dude. I cheered everytime the camera was on the ground.

SOME SPOILERS SO DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN
ok so i saw it and heres my side of things....
was it worth the money?....... Yes it was
did i enjoy watching? ........ Yes i did
did it have faults?........ all movies do
overall grade.......................B+
From some of the posts I've read so far, i can see that there aren't many people on IA that could be a good movie director. The film was a non stop mess of action. You guys gotta understand that and why it is the best element to make the film feel real. I mean really, those nice shots we get in I Am Legend were nice but the best and most intense scene in the film, is when we see through Will Smith's eyes walking through the dark and seeing the deer head. This first person style of filming was a great idea and i see more films in the future using this method.
Bout the motion sickness..... i didnt get it.
but my friend said he was dizzy all way through so i can vouch that its plausible but i really don't know how you fix that. Go play flight sim for like 10 hrs straight (might help).
The ending
here is where these people throw in the towel for me. I thought the ending to I AM Legend was bad but this is horrible. Here's why and oh look im actually going to explain instead of you seeing **** & **** and dont forget ***** everywhere!!!!
I know we are all used to seeing "Disney endings" and "horror movie endings" but to just stop without an "actual ending" one is stupid. I did walk out the teature before this "after credits scene" thanx to my friends wooziness but i usually stay so ill go without that. That last scene....... It could have had so many other possibilities but its just stoped....right here..... no reason! Im not going to list what they could have done but i really really hope this doesnt start a trend in the movie industry. Im not saying i wanted to see what happens to the monster but ok..... They found this tape..... what now?
Maybe this "after credits scene" would change my opinion but, i shouldn't have to wait for a part that's technically not even in the film for this.

consider the tape as a introduction to the monster. i think if it was introduced any other way it would have been the same ole same ole monster movie. I am legend was good, but after awhile the CGI was really bad.. and it just killed the reality of the whole thing, and after the movie was over...the mystery was done and the suspense and the mystery of what happened was gone. I mean the way he did lost u already know how he makes his movies. But if any succesful producer wants to leave the audience with questions.. and wonder what happens. And want to have the audience leaving the theater thinking about what happened at the end, and going thru the movie trying to find every little hint and clue about the monster. You have to have a ending like that especially one that leads to a sequel. just look at this thread its a perfect example of the movie's success, only good movies make you have discussions about it for days.Originally Posted by EJ25RUN

excellent movie
if you think the movie is horrible, that is your opinion, but you should not consider a career in film.
it was told from a first person point of view.
you have to remember folks
THE MONSTER IS NOT THE MAIN POINT OF THIS STORY.
although I will say the acting and the survivor's story is a tad bit shallow, i truly believe this is a genuinely good film.
i had high expectations, and they were met 99%. The only thing I was dissapointed about was how the monster looked, and how we didnt get to see a lot of it.
and for once in Film's history, the black person lives.
there were black people in this film?the only one i rember was the army guy. also can some on fill me in on this after credit clip .I didnt get to see it.Originally Posted by KiTTY KA-T

oooo thats right i forgot about her, what about the after credit clip you know any thing about that?
Its a staticy message of a soldier saying, "ITS STILL ALIVE!"
did anyone notice the splash in the water on the ferris wheel scene? maybe its an alien and not a mutated creature afterall.
you think there is gonna be a 2nd movie?
its open for a sequel.
the directors and producers were talking about doing the same event, but from different peoples perspective. because with all the people with camcorders, and blogs, and stuff, its completely plausible that these characters were not the only ones recording at the time.
in my humble opinion, yes, i do believe there will be a sequel, but not soon. The director already said he wants this to be an American Godzilla.
i liked that the moster was a mystery and all but i hope if they do a 2nd movie that they shed a lil more lite on it, but not blatantly throw fact after fact at you like I AM LEGEND did. i mean inside the first 15 min of that movie you know where your at what happen how it happen and why he was still alive and his part in the whole thing.
i agree, although these are two different types of movies.
IAL was seen from a 3rd person limited view. Where we basically new everything he did, and that was it. Only though him did we know the past, which was through flashbacks and what he said in the movie.
CF was a 1st person film, where we only know what they know. There is no narrator and the story is told through the actions of the characters and events.
But I will agree, the next movie should (and most likely will) shed some light on the monster that hasnt been told through viral marketing.
Im thinking this movie was a starter, kind of like a test to see how well the cloverfield monster will do in America. Now that it seems to be successfull, you can almost expect a sequel with slightly more sci-fi characteristics.
o something i just rembered with every one saying that somthing lands in the water on the farriswheele sceen. towar the end when the guy with the camera is under the monster and looks up at it there appears to be something on the side of its head that looks like they could be gills. anyone else see that?
