    actually in the 60gb its a chipset to play ps2 games. in the 80gb its a software emulation.

    so technically they could add ps2 gameplay to the 40gb anytime they want to.

    Ah yes the 60gb is where it's at. I'm glad I got one now that I see a lot of people are over the Wii and some are trying to trade xbox360 for ps3s
