I thought the same thing about the Resident Evil movies, Silent Hill, and Doom just to name a few. The RE movies are somewhat decent, but as far as video game movies ususally go, i wouldn't set my expectations too high if i were you.
I have good memories of killing people one by one as they went to the bathroom from Hitman II.
the person playing 47 is WAY too ****ing skinny for the role... I would have preferred the person that does the voices for 47 in all the games.

Watched it tonight, pretty gangsta.
Meh, it was ok. Hitman with a love interest but he's too much of a nancy to do anything. I have to say, drugging her when she came on him was good. But other than that, dry. The entire movie was dry. No developement and you kinda didn't get what was going on most of the movie. Characters popped in and he would mutter something to them that the audience was expected to know. The sword fight in the train was kinda stupid.
But on a positive note, they could not have picked a better guy to playy 47. Looked, walked, talked and played the part beautifully. The shoot-out at the brothers house was super cool.
Other than that, wait for it on video.

the movie was awesome
I expected it to be pretty terrible but I was impressed. Badass movie, it's got a good amount of action and I liked the humorous stuff thrown in.

well i was kinda disappointed...reason being, the trailers kinda misrepresented the movie..where the hell was there any kind of him being "protected by divinity" and what not in there? Also was it just me or did the film look almost outdated?? maybe it was the movie theater I was at, and the angle I was sitting at, but it just looked like something I'd see on VHS...
But overall it was a cool movie, the Audi S5 he drove was badass beyond that I give it a C+ lol

I watched it on Wedneday and I must say, it was one of, it not THE best videogame adapted movies that have been produced. In my opinion, the story board was a little dry, but the action made up for it ten-fold. Especially the scene with the gun dealer and the massive firefight.
As for the setting, they must have filmed it on location, if not, they did a great job at getting Russian props, vehicles, etc. Everything was authentic and being able to speak a little Russian, you could tell that they did their research and used tons of truly authentic Russian items.

I seen the movie on opening night, and maybe over anticapted that it was going to be good. The action was good, but it was just all action and no real plot, no indepth look at the character that came in an out of the movie. I left the movie saying to myself what was the movie about( and I am the guy that usally get the movie and explain it to others). If you like action and nothing but actions this movie is right for you. If you want a little more input or more role playing rent james bond movies instead. lol
I went in to the movie expecting exactly what it was. If you went in looking for a good plot then you wasted your money. I thought that the movie delivered exactly what it promised action, tities, and action.
P.S. the hooker was so hott just damn!!

I guess a wonderbra makes a huge difference, because her boobs were small and flat
