Not Big Boi or Luda. They're both very good rappers, but not King material. I think of King I think of versatility. Scarface talks about ****. He's all round. Andre, I will agree with as a contender. Later, QD.Originally Posted by soul

These guys really made southern rap what it is today and really put Atlanta on the map.

Atlanta is not the South. The South contains from South Carolina to Tennessee all the way over to Texas. Scarface, had a huge part of bringing the South up in the rap world. I never said Outkast didn't. But it seems you're speaking as a religious fan of Outkast. Just like TI fans scream he's the King. Just like Luda fans yell he's the King. I don't like any of the groups, so I don't have that luxury of being biased towards a certain group or individual. I did say, though, that between the two, one of them would be it. But the title King is only as good to the person as their opinion. There is no official title to be given out. If, in your mind, Outkast is King, then that's on you. If someone else thinks TI is King, then that's them. Nah mean. Later, QD.Originally Posted by 97ITR86
I do know that southern rap is not just Atlanta but lets face this city puts out more music then any other southern city. I am a big Outkast loyalist since 94. Just to me these guys are like pioneers of southern rap and made a huge difference on the scene. Don't get me wrong UGK and Scarface do deserve some credit. To me Ridn Dirty is one of the best albums ever put out. These guys have been making hits for years. I just feel like Scarface isn't looked at as a southern rapper because of his sound, he has a different vibe with his music. Well to each his own.Originally Posted by quickdodgeŽ
I would have to agree with you on NWA. There will never again be a group of just raw talented rappers like NWA. I'm not a big west coast man but I have to give them much respect for there greatness.Gotta love the pioneers of gangsta rap.Originally Posted by quickdodgeŽ
