    Default Mac or PC

I am hoping someone on here has a mac and uses it frequently. I am curious if anyone has anything negative to say about it? I am having a tough decision. I know what I will be using it for - photoshop mainly, a bit of illustrator, and itunes. thats it really that is important. I know I can do that stuff with either setup.

Mac owner/user for over a decade & I love them. My 10yr old PowerMac still works flawlessly and my G5 is a freakin' BEAST! I use both MAC & PC and I much more prefer MAC. I own a HP and I think I've used it 2 or 3 times since I've purchased my G5. For me it's MAC or nothing

I love paying for overpriced equipment, so I choose MAC!

Oh and I definitely like the old school rainbow apple logo.

i grew up on mac and it isn't worth buying unless you are doing video/audio/graphic designer... for anything else they suck!!! why would you pay 1k+ for a mac when you can build a so much more powerful machine and get 100x the support/software/etc... it is basically a no brainer.

I grew up a PC user (back when DOS was the operating system of choice) and was never much of a mac fan. A couple years ago I bought a G5 for video work, photoshop, and music (similar to your needs it sounds like). I have really enjoyed it and never experienced any of the problem I had with windows. Although you can always go linux too, I ran mandrake for a few years and it was always pretty solid but many people who are not used to linux find some difficulties with even basic functions (though that is changing now with distros like Unbutu). For your purposes I think a Mac would be a good way to go but everyone is right... they are expensive. I bought a 24" dell monitor to use with my mac and I got it for about a third of the price of the apple 23" monitor.

Also if you are a big gamer, alot of games either do not come out for mac or come out much later than the PC version. This wasnt a factor for me because I dont play games but I know its an issue for some.

I actually hate inuyasha this happens to be one of the only pictures I could find that would meet the 100X100 requirement. *scrambling to find a new picture*
