ok showing my inner nerd but does anyone else watch this show its pretty good imo one guy 7 days with no crew only the camera its pretty bad ass how he does all the shots himself how he has to set one cam up to get him walking then go back and get it then set it up again. my dvr is full of the episodes it comes on the science channel

good show...I like the survival aspect better than Man Vs Wild, but bear grills did some crazy ****.
Wish he would actually catch a fish or hunt an animal. All the ones Ive seen, he finds food on the ground. Like the half eaten fish by an eagle, or the meat that was supposed to be for the sled dogs.
Bear Grylls' "Man vs Wild" has been proven to be staged. There was an article about it on a British news website a few months back.
Yeah, I'm just saying, he did some cool stuff and did give some good tips that survivorman wouldn't touch due to the safety issue, like freerunning down hills or turning your shoe laces into climbing apparatus, etc. Survivorman shows you just that, how to make it, whereas MvW was more entertainment.
My main problem with Man vs Wild is that all it was was entertainment.
it was still cool. he used deer skin in the alps!
he does catch fish i guess you just have to watch more episodes ive learned a good bit from it although i dont think i could start a fire with the two sticks like he did. I love the show for more of the work he does to make it. If you just imagine how much time he puts in moving cameras back and forth just to get certain shots that might not even be used.
There's no disputing that. It's definitely a better show to keep up with if you participate in any activities that might land you in some of those situations. Very informative, and still a good show to sit down and watch...except that DAMN harmonica.

also man vs. wild is good. hes ex-SAS so you know hes a bad ass....

lol yeah the harmonica is crazy but i do look at ordinary items differently since watching this show. Im thinking we should have a overnight meet one day in the mtns and bring tents and such i think that might be cool
