We don't have 'HDMI In' on our receiver so we can't use the lossless 5.1 with the PS3. The Toshiba HDDVD player though, has analog out, which comes in handy. I really have no preference picture wise. Like someone said, HD is HD, is mainly just the audio tracks and if they're Uncompressed PCM tracks or not. The Blu Ray discs are bigger too so they can handle more audio, but until I can get the money up to invest in a reciever that can support HDMI in. That doesn't matter. I'll just stick with the HD-DVD's.
Paramount will soon realize that there is no sense in just making yourself exclusive to one format of the future of video. It'd be almost as if they're saying "We're going back to laser discs." They're shooting themselves in the foot.
