yes Heath Ledger pretty much made this movie and will probably be remembered and recognized 100x more after his death then he would have due to his role in this. His facial expressions, voice, dialouqe, every little twist he adds makes this movie as awesome as it was.

Never say never my friends hahah Ledger destroyed Nicholsan's Joker hands down.
Except for the fact that Jack's Joker was more true to the comic book style BACK THEN. Most all comics/graphic novels have taken a darker and more evil tone. I expected Ledger's role as the Joker to reflect this. I personally think that BOTH Joker's are outstanding, as they hit their mark with what tone they were trying to set. No performance will top Jack's version (given what it was targeting, with that long ass gun and whatnot) and nobody will ever top Ledger's.

The first Batman and The Dark Knight are two completely different movies. Unable to compare except the character's names are the same. I was a naysayer about Jack vs. Heath myself. If I was an actor and was offered "The Joker" in a big production, I would **** my pants. I would be afraid I wouldn't be able to fill Jack Nicholson's shoes. But Heath doesn't fill Jack's shoes. He brought his own pair.
