    Just a lil fyi for the is the elite a new chip etc.. its not.

    Microsoft has announced that they will redesign the system with a cooler running processor and board and better parts.. but that isnt set to happen till around holiday season. The elite is basically a regular 360 with hdmi added and a larger HD.

    Also since this thread is about how many people etc have had their 360's break.. latest microsoft numbers put the failure rate at 30%.. climbing too. The longer the 360['s are out there the more are tearing up. A estimated cost of 1.17 billion $ to repair the 360's already out there for microsoft..

    Someone said no new computer stuff coming out will be perfect.. your right.. but nothing ive seen has been this bad either. Its hard to imagine that no one at microsoft could have tested the 360 for these problems before release. It happened witht he regular xbox also alot.. and now this. Its just ridiculous.

    Also for the exchange.. when my ram went out ocz replaced it within 5 days.. my logitech mouse.. they shipped me a new one then said to send mine back took them 2 days.. if a car breaks down under warranty u get a rental or loaner.. microsoft should be doing the same or provide next day shipping. Its just good customer service.

    And yeah the pelican I/C's are trash for any system ive seen.

    lol stillt he failure rate isnt as bad as the ps3, hell they are just breaking period the failure rate on them is every 1/4! and those take awhile to replace!
