omg Genesis was my first system that I personally owned. And dreamcast was sooooo good. I know I wish they would make another console, but I guess its just easier not to compete with anybody and just sell your games to everyone

also I have been buying blu ray dvds and they are way more leet

360 is fun right now at this moment
but im sure just like ps2 did
the ps3 will be far more superior

i have lair preordered. waiting on mgs4, killzone2, ffXIII, heavenly sword, god of war 3. and yeah i got a good colelction of blu-ray already and already pre-ordered 300 on blu-ray.. i dont think 300 will be out on HD

Also dont compare Wii to the other 2 systems.. its in its own market. I had a 58 year old woman with her kids in their 20 come into the store. she had her kids buy her a wii for her bday and like 4 games..... i was stunned..

As we've already proven the 360 isnt cheaper. Sure it has Forza and Halo, but 2 games alone shouldnt convince you to get one over the other. Not to mention once GT5 comes out, Forza will be forgotten about. Both consoles offer wireless game play, so thats a moot point. And blu ray isn't lame, its the future of high def DVDs, so you better get used to it. All the major movie studios are backing blu ray except for 1, and that one will probably switch to supporting both blu ray and hd dvd in the future. Blu ray has a bigger capacity then hd dvd and a brighter future.

Once MGS comes out later this year, as well as GTA4 and some other games, PS3 will really start to pick up steam.

um 400$ system is cheaper then 600$ system... so do the math. why would i pay 200$ more to play the same games... you should read more mags, online game sites, b/c 360 is getting all of the games PS3 is and we are getting our own levels/ad on's through market place. from GTA, FF, and DMC...

Actually the movie makers are split from WB to Disney, etc... And for capacity there are 3x layer HD at 90gb (that technology has been out for quite some time)

Honestly I would get a wii and a 360. Most ps3 games are getting onto 360, resident evil 5 for example, plus 360's online play alone kills ps3. Most people have forgotten that you get video games to have fun playing them alone or with friends (the wii is crazy fun with 4 players, play mario party 8 and see for yourself). It's not about the "HD experience" and if thats what you base your game systems off of you are going to be frustrated. Graphics are overrated anyways, I say just get what system is more fun and has better games. If 360 gets most of the ps3 games its no question what to get. 600 or 400 dollars to play the same games...hmmm, and if you play RPG's most are going to be cross-platform so it doesn't really matter anyways. Just remember $600 for ps3 or $650 to have twice the fun with a 360 and a wii.

about the multi laser players..

they are not given the official HD liscense so interactive menu's and special features will not be available onthem. pretty much you can only watch the HD movie on those. so their worthless. and at a price of 1200 for a multi format. better off buying a blu-ray and hd player seperately

as for rpgs sure alot are cross platform but final fantasy will not be. you claim halo we got FF you got gears of war etc we got mgs..

In the end the actual hardwere specs the ps3 is a far more powerful machine. as of now games are the same because they dont have the software dev kits out yet to fully utilize the ps3. but give it time. like end of this year the games will blow away the most advanced 360 games out.

and yes even tho a triple layer hd is 90gb blu rays are in the high 100's as stated above. When the formats were first competing there were i belive 4 exlusie HD movie companies. now theres only one and they are also in talks of going dual format. And there are a few that are exlusive blu-ray.

For those who say i get a game system to play games nada else.. tell me when you buy a car do you get a sun roof? how about leather seats or do you just get a car with one door, one seat, and a motor and tranny wheels etc? so what is so wrong with getting a "upgraded" package? dont people like their leather? their ac? their sun roof?

They're redesigning the 360 Q4, or so I'm told. New, cooler-running processor will be included. So if you can wait 4-6 months, you should be able to get a 360 that won't fail as often.
