I like Ludacris and some more obscure guys, too, like Aesop Rock [yes I know he's white].

Anyone here ever listen to Dizzee Rascal? He's a fucking SPAZ.

Me? Hail no. I'm more into a funk type sound. No overpowering bass/fast rap(South) and no slow as hail rapping(North). I like funky music with an even flowing lyric set.

I can/do listen to most everyone pre-1990 from the North, though. From Dana Dane to Salt N Pepa to Kool Moe Dee. Later, QD.

Ahh shit. Slow rapping is North. Always has been. Don't take that as a diss and I didn't say everyone was slow rapping. It's just known for slower rapping style and slow, meaningful beats. The South has always had that fast rap with loud ass bass and not worth anything beats. 2 Live Crew, Half Pint, Magic Mike, David Banner, Luda. West Coast has always just been in between. Music mostly based off of funk and a fast/slow mix. Later, QD.

Honestly, there's not really any good WC rappers out now. Ice Cube and WC are the only two that I feel are worth listening to. There's a few mixtape kings out there that I do listen to, but that's about it. Later, QD.

Well I'm not saying they aren't good, it's just that you can tell that their music was made in the 80s-90s. What I'm saying is go listen to Sucker MCs, and then go listen to Elevators or Ms. Jackson and tell me when each one sounds like it was made. Most people would tell you that DMC sounds like it was made in the late 80s, yes Elevators was made around 2000-2002, when it was made about 5 years before.

    This thread is stooopid.

    1. Gangstarr is J Premier and G.U.R.U. It is not a "him"

    2. The only Pac you like is All Eyez on me, which was mediocre at best and should have been condensed into just one album. The Makiavelli album was garbage and was a posthumous release of outtakes and bSides. You need to listen to Me Against the World and 2Pacalypse to get a better appreciation of Pac.

    3. You caliing Rakim a legend? Please be honest, do you even own Paid in Full? Don't Sweat the Technique? Follow the Leader? I dunno if he's the G.O.A.T....? I always thought Kane was doper, but Paid in Full and Don't Sweat the Technique could arguably be 2 of the greatest ALBUMS of all time. Rakim hasn't done shit right in over 15 years. He had a nice little 5 year period, but he can't be called the greatest of all time based on a 5 year run of dopeness. He's like a Gayle Sayers imo.

    4. Big L, I was a huge fan of his unsigned mixtape stuff, but his only album was iffy. Platinum Plus was hott tho.

    5. LOL, "wow someone else listens to dead prez...i thought i was the only one..." youre so cool

Its obvious youre young and don't know shit. I also find it honorable that you are at least making an attempt to learn more... Thats why I'm not gonna flame your ass and basically make fun of everything you posted in here. Its just sorta obvious you are frontin a little bit on your Hip Hop knowledge and I find that a little annoying
