you know nothing about the music industry. I hate 50 cent, but for a hundred million to lock down the next 4 or 5 50 Cent albums, owning publishing rights, marketings rights, distribution rights, etc is a steal, especially for an artist who is easily going to go multi platinum bc dumb white kids love his shit. I wouldnt be surprised if Interscope gave him that money in a heartbeat. And none of that money is gonna come out of Eminem's or Dre's pocket. You probably think Raekwon is really going to release an album under Aftermath...

How much has INTERSCOPE made off of 50 Cent since "Get Rich or Die Tryin".

If the answer is they made 500Million dollars (which im sure they made that) then $100 million is easy. They will spend 100 to make 400million. shit i would. You gotta remember, they prob own rights to every DVD, concert, CD that he puts out.

add all that up, love him or hate him , he sells cds, and he makes MONEY.

Look at Eminem. His first 2 cds were pure genius. the rest were garbage, but they still sold and went platinum, because hes Eminem. Hes like howard stern, you want to see what he is going to say next.

Get Rich or Die Tryin the album and is still one of my favorite CDs. you cant argue the anger and lyrics he came out with, he rejuvenated rap at the time when it was getting old an stale. Now , everyone has heard his disses, hes not hungry anymore so we will never see another album like that again. Same with Eminem.

soo true...I can't believe the stuff they put out these days is anywhere near considered "hip hop." It's pop if you ask me. I think after Pac and Biggie died, hip hop slowly died down. There is just no creativity in the hip hop genre: the same spinning rims with the same big booty girls with the same lame ass beat. Or if you can't do that much, you're next best bet is just hate on someone for doing something that you can't AKA 50 cent. His career basically started when he dissed ja rule. After he came out with those few disses, everyone liked 50 cent. Then when he tried to diss Nas, Fat Joe, and Jadakiss, MC's that are in a totally different league above 50, everyone saw for what he truly was.

I think Immortal Technique is the freshest MC i've heard in a while. His rhymes are pretty creative and original. If he just had better production IMO. We need the de la soul's, the jungle brothers, the bone thugs n harmony, the old school nas (pre-God's Son), and the old school Outkast (has anyone ever heard their first album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik? what a dope/underrated album) back in the hip hop game...
