Well heres the thing, if Schaub stuck around another year we would lose him anyway and get nothing. They are not going to get rid of Vick with such a big contract. Schaub said himself that he wants to be the #1 quarterback and if that did not happen here he would go elsewhere.

And I correct myself, his contract is 6 years $48 million not $38 million.

Agreed!! Besides, after seeing DJ Shockley in the preseason games, he can hold his own. I think the team will be just fine with Schaub. However, it saddens me to see this move because that means the team is standing behind Vick, and I feel vick just brings the team down on many level, attitude being a major one.

I think the next few years are going to show what Vick is really made of as QB. He was so sheltered in Mora Jr.'s offense it's hard to say that he was at fault for their shortcomings. Not to mention I'm sure it was frustrating being a QB and NOT being aloud to Audible!!! I think Patrino's offense will suit Vick much better than Mora's West Coast BS.
