Why? Replace the vick with schaub and it's still a true statement

The other thing we will see out of Schaub this year is what he now has in common with Vick, an offensive line that cannot block.

The writing is on the wall, Petrino wants a team that intimidates. I think the Falcons of last year was about finesse which was nice the first 3 games, but its not consistent. The spread option was pretty when executed properly but teams caught on quick.

Smashmouth football is consistent and says whether we win or lose it certainly wont be a walk in the park for the other team, teams do not look forward to playing aggressive and intimidating teams.

Personally I like the way things have gone, we had a good team last year but the coaching staff was not a good match. Every addition we have made so far have been no nonsense players. When wide receivers are dropping balls who is going to speak up and get in their face? Joe Horn. We have a fullback that is like a hammer and I believe the reason why Vick scrambled so much is because he could not audible. Imagine you're looking at a defense that you KNOW is going to shut down the play you're about to run but you cannot do anything about it? Hell I'd run first too.

Peyton Manning audibles on almost every play, I can literally mimic his actions under center because he does it every time. He sees blitz, he'll call an audible.. tell the offensive line.. inform the running back then sets up in a shotgun formation, he does his usual leg stomp and snap.. it seems to work.

Damn right! But it's "ONLY VICKS FAULT". People need to get out of here with blaming a TEAM'S downfall on one person. And I agree last year team was a great team and with the new additions to the team, the falcons will be a contender!

    +1 for ya

I will agree with you that a teams short comings can not be blammed on one individual person. Therefore, I agree that the entire teams poor perforance should not be soley blammed on Vick. However, I have to say this also. I am so tired of people saying the only reason Vick is doing so badly is because of Jim Mora. One person, Jim Mora, can not be blammed for the poor performance of an NFL QB. An all-round player should be able to adjust to whatever offense. Jim Mora did not force Vick to throw a middle finger in the air either. That just shows Vicks character, or lack there of. I dont blame the falcons loosing season on one person, but I think it is lame and stupid to blame Vick's poor performance on one person as well. It is just a cop-out to blame Vick's poor performance on Mora. HE is an NFL quarterback for gods sake, if it was high school it may be different. I honestly dont care weather they keep Vick or get rid of him, but his additude needs to be readjusted fast, because if the city of Atlanta does not stand behind him, neither will the franchise.

poor performance??? look a few post up and I typed he was in the top 5 (of QBs) in scoring for ESPN FF most of the season (to get points there he must of been doing something right). He set a rushing record this year (and dont give me this QB shouldnt run BS). He had a game where he threw 4tds in a losing effort. Performance my ass. I can tell you dont watch football, because if you did then you would of saw about 15-20 drop TD passes from Falcons WRs this past season. Then when he was trying his hardest to win, and his offense wasnt helping, but the crowd is booing him. Luckily it was Vick and not me cuz I would of showed atlanta my ass (how bout my dick and told them to suck it) rather then fick them off! As for Mora, he was a fucking joke and I dont even wanna go there.
