    Default What's your fighting preference?

In a fighting video game (rather it be Soul Caliber, Tekken or what ever fighting game you like to play) what do you feel you are better with? A controller or a Arcade pad?

I used to be all about the controller. The only fighting game I play is Soul Caliber series. I have been playing since the first one on Dream Cast. It was just this past year I think it was I switched to the Arcade pad. I notice that my friend Nippon, seemed so much faster and better with it. So I went out a spent $100 on the X-Arcade pad. Its a great pad and I did notice an difference in my fighting, after I got used to it of course.

I've seen Nippon play before. He brought his own arcade pad to play some SoulCal. That guy effin' rips it up in that game.

3-D fighting games suck balls. It's all about the 2-D action. Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Melty Blood, Guilty Gear Itsuka, ect...

Oh yeah, I play with a controller.

Soul Caliber all the way. I used to play Tekken 5 but I became board with it because I felt I was stuck using just a few moves to win agiainst the cpu. But, soul caliber is sorta like that too, but for some reason I feel as though I can use my imagination more in Soul Caliber III. I don't like the 2-D fighters too much. Too limited I guess. Forward, Back, jump and duck. 3-D you get that and more.
