T.I. vs. T.I.P is currently intended to be released in Summer 2007.
T.I. explained the album’s title, saying, “It’s basically a battle within myself. There’s not nobody out there doing what I do as well as I do it, so I see myself as worthy competition for myself.”
'T.I. vs. T.I.P.' is also the name of one of the songs from T.I.'s sophomore album, Trap Muzik.
Guests will include Young Dro, Big Kuntry, Young Jeezy, Akon, B.G., Justin Timberlake, Governor, Eminem, Young Buck, Ludacris, and many others. The album will be a double album. One CD is rapped by T.I. the other by T.I.P..
The album will feature production by Khao, Keith Mack, DJ Toomp, Scott Storch, Timbaland, Danjahandz, Jazze Pha & Wildhundredz (CrossBeatsInc.) and more.
In a tongue-in-cheek response to a question about T.I. on TRL, John Mayer joked that he was collaborating on T.I.'s latest album. Rumors immediately flew around that he appeared in background vocals on the song "Layin' Down da Trap." However, in his blog, Mayer confessed that is was just a joke.[1]
XXL Magazine ranked "T.I. vs. T.I.P." the 2nd most anticipated album of 2007.[1]
Later, QD.
