Soccer is pretty much still a low-key "nothing else to watch" sport in the US. I really don't see how adding Beckham's name to the roster is going to spark interest in those that don't care for the sport in the first place. With or without Beckham, MLS has a 75% or greater mortality rate in the US in my opinion.

Perhaps, but I highly doubt adding one player is going to breathe a completely new life into the sport. The US will still scoff at MLS and keep watching the NFL.
