How if the team as a whole isnt playing to par, then its gonna make the quarterback stick out and he will be the one catching the most heat for it. This is not to say that the quarterback isnt in fault, just that he is the center of attention. With Vick this is extremely true. When people watch the falcons play, they pay the most attention to vick. So if his receivers arent catching the ball, and his lineman arent blockin like they should, Vick cannot perform to his best. Then you have the fact that he holds the record for the most rushing yard for a Quarterback in the NFL, the Defense for other teams are expecting him to run. So they are set-up for him to run. This automatically puts him in the situation where he almost has to run the ball. In an interview he said that he doesnt like running the ball all the time. He said he wanted to show that he is still a lethal quarterback when he is passing. He thanked his lineman for protecting him aswell. People get this mental image of him being a prick and an asshole, when infact he may be, but we as fans have alot to do with it. When your constantly under the magnifying glass it puts alot of pressure on you. Then to have your every mistake, whether your fault or not, criticised wouldnt make you very happy either. We as fans hype Vick up, then if he doesnt meet our expectations, we blame him and get dissappointed. So how is it his fault that we expect him to be perfect under any condition? We expect him to complete every pass, convert every 3rd and 4th down, and dodge every tackle and logically thats impossible. But ill quit, i got carried away. Thats just kinda how i see it.
