    Does anyone ever actually battle in person? Or do you just do the whole "keystyle" thing? I used to do it, a little, but I just couldnt really feel it because it's lacks spontaneity (just my opinion). Besides, you can't really hear a persons delivery, you get no sense of the cadence.

    So yeah, anyone actually spit?

    Yea it does help your skill alot. Like when im Keystylin i dont use a beat, that probably one reason i cant keep my cadence like i can when i actually spit.

    i'm actually in a tourney there now that's gonna be judged by Dame Dash....too bad I forgot my mic in atlanta and have no way of participating now

    This is the only thing I don't like about "keystyling". Someone reading your lyrics, more likely than not, won't pick up the flow you had in your head when you were writing them. I try to use punctuation to help break my verses up where I want them to be broken but, this can never compare to actually spitting live. Delivery can mean everything in a live battle. However, keystyling is a good way to test your skill. If you can blaze someone without speaking a word...that's FIRE!!!
