    Default Elite Website

    Alright guys. Give me your feedback. This is simply a test page on what the Elite Website may look like. This page needs to be cleaned up a little bit, but overall what do you think? FYI: The part that says "Navagation Bar Placeholder" is simply the place where all the links will be. For example, About us, sponsors, members, links, etc. Here you go. Post what you think.

    Its ok, but it could be so much better.
    Looks more like a small business, who specializes in something like computer chips or consulting.

    Oh, but I do like the fact you got show list and mission statement on the main page, along with updates.

    That's exactly what we are going for guys. We want to be viewed as more corporate type, professional organization. Trying to stear clear of the whole young kids with souped up cars and approach the team more as a business. That is what seperates International AllStars and Team ECI from everyone else. The path Elite is taking is along the lines of a marketing business as opposed to a "car club".

    very nice, my nit picks:

    -side bar and top bar graphics are low res., up the quality/ make diffrent one.
    -great colors, nice logo
    -logo in top bar should have trasparent background
    -website url at top is off center
    -side bar and top bar sugestion: photo shop a croped pic of your tv arch so it provides nice flowwing lines that arnt a simple grid.

    good start.... who is doing the work for it?

    keep the layout simple, but up the craftsmanship.

    I am building the site myself. And I just taught myself how about 3 hours ago. Many of the things you have reccomended I have tried and can't get to work. Ron knows, I have been bitching to him for the past hour about it. anyway, it is just to have "something" up and running. Like I said, we still need to clean it up. That is why we haven't officially put it on the Elite website, it is a test page from my site. Thanks for the input Danny, I am still trying to look into doing some of the things mentioned.

    No you dont even understand. I have BEEN USING Advanced Photo Shop 7.0 but that freakin banner wouldnt convert over as an image. I had no way of getting the image of the blue banner into photoshop in order to Overlay the Elite logo. But I just figured out a way to cheat the system and did it. I own this computer!!! I'm Rick James Bitch. Anyways, this is fun shit. I have designed what I think to be a pretty phat homepage in 1 day. Taught myself and everything started on this thing at 2pm today. I am addicted now.

    Site layout looks good. Maybe I can give you some feedback.

    -Your top and side graphics look a little choppy and low-quality.
    -The "Home" mouse rollover is different than the 350z and Audio Setup (not sure if you planned that).
    -Consider using tables. The show season calendar is not uniform.
    -Also, you might want to add a "Title" at the top of the internet browser. All you need to do is use <title> page title here </title>.

    Hope this helps.

    In regards to the rollover. It might be coded to have a diffrent rollover for the page you are on. So that might be why, but who knows.

    Done and Done. The only thing is the low-resolution high bar and side bar. IT looks fine on my computer and the other 2 computers in the house. IT all depends on what you have your resolution set at. I am not even sure if I can make those images a higher resolution or not without distorting the image but I will try it out in photoshop. Everything else is done though.

    Table helped out a lot, you can make it more professional by adding in border="0" to get rid of the border on the table.

    You can change the title by editing this:

    <!--$sitebuilder version="2.1.1" md5="ccfff46d25aa6626a19d523ec13a410f"$-->
    <!--$templateKey businessLasersBlue$-->
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Page Title</title>
    <meta name="generator" content="Yahoo! SiteBuilder/2.1.1/1.4.1_03">
    Also, on the image "derek4-198x107.jpg" you might want to resize it again it looks a little choppy as well. If you resized it by changing the parameters (which I see in the code right now) you might want to resize it in Photoshop to get it resized correctly.

    Same with "Eclipseweb-250x148.jpg" No problem.

    BTW: You never changed the table border. (Up to you though).

    <td style="border:1px inset #DCDCDC" width="143" height="22" valign="top"><span class="text"><span style="font-size:14px;line-height:17px;">March 12, 13<br soft></span></span></td>

    You wont be able to get any more dpi out of that image. And the resolution width sound be the same as the rest of the page.

    The side nav looks fine on the top, but the bottom crossing lines look choppy. The top banner looks (no offense) kinda crappy, and the .com is crooked.

    BTW: "Eclipseweb-250x148.jpg" still needs to be reisized.
