Just turbo the sohc. You really won't get much out of anything being auto, but it'll give you more than nothing. You could even go as far as to build a d-series and turbo that. So thats just what I think would be best for your AUTO situation.

actually sir, there are some pretty fast auto's that are turbo'd. I do have an advantage because I don't have to shift, and I just keep on rolling. But, I know I'm going to keep my dseries and get it rebuilt...then turbo it or do the d series vtec like Tony said...& turbo that.

Ok well you have several choices in-front of you.
You can get an D-Series VTEC motor [which IMO would be better for you] because you can just keep your tranny.
B-Series hhmmmmmm LS, but you'll have to change the tranny and need another engine bay wiring harness so that the [ECU that you get] can atleast read where everything is
and there you have it, my. I don't want to change my tranny, even though I may end up getting that one rebuilt as well. any suggestions on a good place that rebuilds both in a timely manner and aren't trying to butt**** me with a price?

well sorry wasn't bustin your chops I was just giving my 2 cents about the situation and actually manual trans have more of the advantage. unless we're talking sb-bb powerglides with 1000+hp with 2 stage n02. by the time your turbo in your AUTO spools up im already gone in a manual turbo. My buddy has a auto saab 9.5 turbo and I take him all day long in 1/4. I don't even have t-bo. Only because he has so much lag on take off i get him

NEVER did i say i would race, and or TRY to beat a manual. my point was, me turboing an auto is not pointless, but it does have some advantages. they are greatly appreciated, however like i said, i am going to do what i want for my auto...never did i ask bout what anyone's in here stick does.

look i get what your saying but think about it for a sec.....at the start of a race no one shifts.. we rev ours up and dump clutch you hold brake pedal rev up as much as you can w/o redlighting and tack off. Our rpm's are already up to jump you on the start then after that its still all us. 5 speed over auto anyday of the week will win on START

*sighs*....i'm not saying anything that is pointless. i have taken off at a redlight before multiple times against an 07 gli and i always get him every time because he has to shift and for the lil second, he lags and I dont. even he will admit it.

btw...i don't rev when i'm racing him. thats a waste of gas...considering we are only doing it out of fun anyways, i'm not going to waste half a tank of gas reving up @ the light for a 5 second show. as soon as he shifts the 2nd time, i let off my gas so it looks like to onlookers, that i was beating him. oh yeah, i'm a smart racer =)

Yep I was there..I also brought out a friend with his white Civic Coupe(civicmantim). had fun.. when I left, me and the Black Ek hatch made a couple of passes, 2 at a 40 roll and 2 digs..Yakuza, I ended up not being able to head to Summit last night, because we got a lil caught up on finishing up this swap in my friends EF Hatch, but we're somewhat close to completion..... No light isnt bad I cheked it by pulling the cluster out and changing bulbs out and the one in the check engine light worked in another so yea.
