Well as of now its only a thought, but I'm talking about taking the interior out and only leaving dash and two seats. Then taking the engine out and doing a complete wire tuck, removing ac and then well we will see

Naw just stock... I have already had my share of DOHC engines.

What are they overrated? I just think a DOHC just looks alot better. But my z6 does what I need it to but just a little more torque wouldn't hurt. Need some more bite when I take off and get moving

In some short yes, but Ill tell you this they are fun if done right. Also you can piece a turbo for your D and have more HP and torque IMO.

I've thought of that but its my DD and I wouldn't wanna boost it without building. Aren't there down falls of having a turbo?

You really don't need to build the D it has already low compression, but you cannot over boost it as well... the best boost level is 8psi on stock engine with a tune. As well with good turbo, manifold, waste gate, and again a good tune will suffice in this matter. Hmmm down fall is that you will want more boost and this is were people tend to over do it and in which there engine goes BOOM!

Good Sunday morning everyone. My vacation is over and its time to get back to work. Don't want to go but I'm tired on sitting at home. Time off sucks when your car has no motor or paint on it.

It should be painted this week and then its motor tear down time.

10psi on a good tune. I spun a rod bearing. The boost had little to nothing to do with it other than without the boost I would not haven driven it is hard as I did. 4th gear redlining at about 125mph. to high of a rpm for to long streatched the rod bolts and spun the bearing.(this is all thery right now I'm going to tear it down this week and see why its rod knocking.)

i have decided im not doing a swap, just build my little D after i get the body and suspension the way i want it.

if i want a DOHC ill just end up getting a teggy...but as for now my little D build continues. my next mod will be springs and camber kit =]

oh and joses twin-loop if i like the look/sound.
