Yesterday I started putting rings in my d15b7 block so I can use it until my z6 is done. Got halfway done and my crappy drill battery died so I'll finish it tonight and probably pull the z6 out this coming up weekend. Should be interesting d15b7 all stock internals, z6 head and intake running 10psi. I don't care if it will last.
It will last just fine, i boosted my 160k+ d15b2 at 11-12psi for probably 6-7 mos, beating the heck out of it all the time. I finally took it out because it was using so much oil. Turns out the oil control rings were seized, i could have re-ringed it and thrown it back in.
I hope it lasts longer than my stock z6. only drove it 5 times over 3 weeks and it failed.
Does anyone know if the z6 oil pan will work on the d15b7? The b7 oil pan is dented from where it fell off the engine hoist. plus my z6 pan already has the oil drain on it for the turbo.

i am prob gonna go clean it, the outside, interior is pretty clean right now, bleed the brakes, and adjust the clutch today.
then get it tagged this week :P
I recall the b2 oil pan not fitting the z6 because the oil baffes were in different locations and hit the pickup, but i never tried the z6 pan on the b2

i was trying to find out if it fit or not cause i am trying to sell my old b2 oil pan... but it seems like it doesnt.

Well hooked up everything and shit tried to start the beast and didnt wanna start for me.Havent checked to see if its got spark but it has fuel.And some dumb fuck did the wire tuck wrong and check engine light comes on when I turn on head lights.
I drove it today...
and made it to work.
On a serious note, latest additions have been right side mirror, DA shift knob and steering wheel.
I iz broke now. No monies.
