Doesnt have anything to do with your engine, There is a piece of emission hardware that is not working properly, or your engine could have an issue (ie. timing). Try doing a search on the internet for "emissions failed NOx". That should give you some idea. For some reason, i'm thinking off the top of my head, O2 sensor, but i'm probably wrong.

Yeah that is what I'm thinking looking at those numbers.

I'll look at my past results. I know with high numbers we have done either new plugs and wires or o2 sensor.

Ok, did some research for you. High NOx has to do with exhaust temperature, and yours is too high. If you have a high flow cat, that definately isn't helping you. Try replacing your egr valve, costs like 2 dollars and takes 5 seconds. Your engine is probably running lean, so try to figure out why, or retard your ignition timing a little, it may be advanced too much.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

also, if you can get your hands on an OEM cat for a decent price, snatch that shit up.

I did some research a bit myself a few days ago and learned alot about it too. It did mentioned about the cat, egr, timing and etc like u mention. As or my cat i bought it online but it did say obd1 and obd2 approved and i really dont want to go thru the trouble of having to get a new cat cus then ill have to get it reweld and etc an it cost me alot for all that with the cat ig ot rite now.

Again, thxs for all ur input! +1

I do have an oem cat but the bolt and nuts on that has been so long and old that it seems like it got welded onto the midpipe. Therefore, i was left to no choice but to buy a new cat. And that cat is a d series so it wouldnt not bolt onto the b series header. And i happen to find a cheap skunk 2 mega power exhaust a few weeks ago so i just went ahead and ordered the magnaflow cat converter.

    Reps to those that help!

yea thats my next move but since i got a gsr header theres no O2 bung so i might have to get a bung installed by a muffler shop and its gonna cost me like $40 bucks just for a bung...

I believe you need some sort of bill from the "claimed residency", like a power bill, phone bill, etc. Could be wrong though.

dont be dumb and get it done the right way. Stop wasting your money and having to redo it the right way later on.

Ur suggestion is absolutely right, but sometimes it will cost ALOT MORE to diagnosis or fix the problem that is causing a failure in emission.
