aem b series hybrid intake you can get it from nopi the part number is the same for the del sol vtec so just try and find the del sol one if you cant find the one for ef with a b series swap or try ebay for a aem one if you are too far from nopi me and dare are running it but he is running a velocity stack i picked mine up brand new for around 250 if i remember correctly
can i use the short ram induction system? it's cheaper heh. i guess i'll just have to wait till i got more cash to spare. my stock one is ripped down the arm so i figured i'll just get a cold air intake
anyone...? short ram or no?
i've got a short ram, works ok till i can get the passwordjdm battery relocation kit and run a full CAI.
short ram is for top end power and your b16 does that already you need a full cai i say no the short ram as i had a short ram and my car ran alot better with the full cai once i got it trust me the aem one is worth the extra cash and you dont need to relocate the battery at all
here is what it looks like its def worth the money
here is the link to intake on nopi this is the one for the civic
http://www.nopi.com/dsp_partsvenpc.php
and the one for the del sol vtec with a stock b16a2
http://www.nopi.com/dsp_partsvenpc.php
as you can see the part code is the same for both 948+1098 its around 239 plus tax but just use the importatlanta.com discount and you can get it for wholesale price i used the same discount for my catback
before and after and then one of dare with the velocity stack to show the difference
me after the first day me and my friends did the swap
see how you dont have a problem
now if you want to step it up like bigdare and get a velocity stack that is the aem one on the left
the aem one vs the velocity stack the battery is just out because we did some more work on his engine bay but it fits just like mine up above

Best bang for your buck is
3in ebay intake + velocity stack + K&N Filter
You should be able to get that for less than $130shipped. Or you can get the intake Jermaine and I have, but its going to set you back more.
More AEM Hybrid sexiness

Your bay looks naked Jeff LOL
ok but will the ebay intake fit the same way as the hybrid one. are the bends accurate? and will it come with the high quality materials needed to make it fit correctly like ours did heavy duty air line or the dowls with the rubber spacers the thin piece of rubber to go around the hole to ensure your intake is not damaged if so then yeah thats a baller dealOriginally Posted by bigdare23
I forgot to add he's more than likely going to have to relocate his battery. Also, people cut the intake down so they can get most power out of the velocity stack.

could you feel the diference with the velocity stack?
its a differnce in sound the stack def sucks in more air as you can hear it as far as power wise you can ask dare on that one
dare
i checked out the link you posted that seems a bit too large for me but from what they say its 3-5 hp gain at a small price paid for it like 40 bucks for everything
I can't honestly say I feel a "difference". A velocity stack isn't meant to "WOW" you with power. Its there to help you gain a few horsepower that's lost due to the air entering your intake being erractic. So it smooths the air that's entering into the intake manifold and also increase the velocity of that air which in return "can" make you more power. I might add, I'm using a velocity stack on a cai will most of the people use them on custom length short rams.Originally Posted by Georgia_boy

I still think its worth it if you are truely trying to get every little bit of power out of your motor. As for the size, there are other K&N filters you can get to fit over the velocity stack, so just don't get the whole setup. Go and get shorter K&N filter (with the same diameter opening) and you won't have to modify the length of the intake like I did.Originally Posted by JDMJAYDC2

Fukka boost!!!
N/A for life!!!
Ah I used to say the same thing homie. Now, I'm boosted, and I don't believe i'll ever be NA again lolOriginally Posted by bigdare23
An intake isn't going to "WOW" you with power so just get an Ebay short or CAI on Ebay for $50 shipped. No point in paying another $150 for brand name & looks.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^so says the king of buy it now
I concur with him greatly. When your shopping for something like that, It doesnt matter. As long as the ID of the intake tube is the same size or bigger than the throttle body you'll be fine.
i'm just going to grab the one from 90 zc hatch. thanks for the input everyone. I really only wanted to go ahead and get a CAI because my arm on my intake was cracked so if i'm replacing anyways i might as well. Do you have to worry much about getting water logged with a CAI living downtown, like when it rains and the streets are all flooded.
nice just wondering i've heard of it too, but my buddy drove like in a huge puddle so the whole filter was probably underwater. it was dark and didn't look like a puddle at all
My first integra engine actually came victim to hydro lock, it was during all the flooding and raining like 7 years ago I think. My wife drove through a puddle about 2 feet deep, wasn't her fault, you couldnt tell until it was to late. But you shouldn't worry to much about hydro lock, its actually somewhat hard to accomplish.
hmm... looks like I may order that as well since I have no motor just yet. GO ALL OUT N FUK IThey dare, u should come up and help. u KNOW u want to.
CHASE ->>> WHAT MATTERS
what was the day u wanted me to come down again?
is that the same intake you let me use for a while alan?
Yeah go ahead & get 90_ZC_Hatch's AEM intake, it's the oldschool version & piping is like 2.25" but I say get it if it's a good price. The Ebay version looks exactly the same but has bigger piping (mine is 2.75"). I've never had a problem with my intake sucking in water either; I don't even have the plastic piece that covers it underneath.
