It would serve a purpose if your civic is slammed and it just happened to break down and you gotta get it towed. Whats the roll back wrecker gonna hook it too?? your stock tow hitches and rip the bottom of your bumper or your lip!
It would serve a purpose for me cause i cant even get a honda scissor jack under my hatch!

I agree on being to low and in need of a tow and wishing the front bumper/lip would stay safe.Tow hooks are cool but only if you actually have a "USE" for them.

Honda-Tech has alot of photos, here is just one(not mine).

You got oem tow hooks, why you need more? Plus, you gotta cut into the bumper to install one.

This is what gives tow hooks a bad name, imo. Tow hooks are supposed to be for track cars.

My stock tow hooks look like an L. My driveway has ate them up and bent them! Planning on getting a lip and i would like to have a front tow hook just incase. I wouldnt mind cutting a little slice in my bumper to mount one but i damn sure wouldnt do that to an ef9 bumper!

If you worry about your front bumper...pull it on the flatbed from the rear...LoL

I had one on the rear. Never REALLY needed it. Thought I'd need it more than I actually did. Good for show, though.

Just because you can roll doesnt mean your motor doesnt have a whole in it

Uh...of course that's what I meant. I noted that on the gauge cluster (not odometer...) but not the wires.

Has anyone thought of the fact that the tow truck might not be able to get to the rear of the car to winch it??? So the front tow hook comes into play then! Just saying.

Ha good luck, your tow hook will work great until you actually go to put it on a flatbed and still tear off your front bumper and hang on your front crossmember

Ever done a mountain run and seen a car go over the edge? I have. Kid's a good driver, just mis-calculated a curve. He was well experienced with that run, too. Don't say you're too good to mess up...

Point is, he went down nose-first. Had to be pulled from the rear. Couldn't pull the front. I could very easily see a car spinning and going down tail first. However, I don't see the bumper cover being your biggest concern, at that point.
