I came across this 1986-1987 Si on Honda-tech.It just made me want to drop everything I had planned and buy me a 86-87 Si.![]()
Check the spoiler it was an option on the usdm hatch.Wish the 88-91's had that kind of option.
Enjoy!!.

WOW!
I am a big fan of the 84-87 CRX, but the hatch would have to nearly free for me to buy one.
And that is what makes the world go around everyone has their preference.Originally Posted by jfrolang

I am not into the 1st gen crx all to much but I'd defentiley take one.
I like the styling of them alot but the engine compartment layout along with torsion bar suspension is a real turn off for me.
Yea that is what pushed me away from the 1st gen integras.I have owned 3 but I really hate the solid beam rear axles and tortion bars.Originally Posted by green91
The styling is what pulls me in most,if I did find one worth buying it would be just to make a nice daily.I'll leave my swaps and everything for the 88-91's.
I am a pretty big fan of them... I have an 87 Si Hatch and my girl has an 85 Crx Si... there's a pretty big community of them on redpepperracing.com. The owner of that car is on RPR as well, I love that car.
Yea I checked out that site also.I actually might be looking into buying me a 86-87 si.If you come across any decent let me know.Originally Posted by SiRed94

Or maybe even the sqaud guy's wouldn't mind letting us post up some?.
I'd really like one. There is a red one on Craigslist locally that seems pretty straight forward. Body is near mint for that old.

Other than the 8inch rusted hole in the floorboard it sounds pretty good.Originally Posted by Revmaynard
Thanks for the link I just may keep that in mind.
Wish it had that optional spoiler hahah,I've seen some folks use the 88-91 usdm spoiler on these also. With the right modifications it looks nice but some just bolt it on and go and it looks alittle wild.

Yea $1k is pushing it for a 86-87 si.I never really paid over $1500 for my 88-91 Si's.$2k better be in top shape.Originally Posted by southside

damn... that's a pretty good deal on that one... the price on these has actually gone up a pretty good bit the past couple of years... if i was in the market, i would definitely consider that one...
those optional spoilers are rare as hell, I've been trying to find a decently priced one for some time now... I always see them going for $400+...Originally Posted by ed7_hatch
Yea they seem expensive!!.You would think buying one of these cars back then you would definetely choose them with the spoiler because they are ugly without them.I have only came across 2 forsale online but then again that is a quick browse.Originally Posted by SiRed94

this is exactly why its taking so long for me to get lower. not even top of the line lowering torsion bars are $225+. and if you want a low stance but still be stiff, youre looking at $300+.Originally Posted by ed7_hatch
those hatches are nice as hell though. i actually was looking at one until i found the DA.![]()
I loved my 1st gen integra's too bad I've sold each one and NOW regret it of course.I'd buy another in a heartbeat.Originally Posted by DeeAOne

i really want one of those SE spoilers myself. they are hard to find for sale though. everyone that has one never wants to part with them.
damn, kinda makes me want a hatch now. so nice.
Is that your's in the signature?.Im not a fan of the 86-89 sedans but it is really clean.Yea the spoilers now days are crazy to get your hands on.I had the SE maybe 4 years ago before anyone on the e.coast gave a crap about these usdm "foam spoilers" hahahahhaaa.Originally Posted by DeeAOne
I remember actually wanting to take mine off back then hahaaha if I could go back in time I'd slap myself in the back of the head!.POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER![]()

that is probably one of the most famous 1st gens around. ive got a few pics of that teg on my computer as well.
his collection of wheels is ridiculous. :idb:
yeah dude was in honda tuning^^^ with that teg... i still have that magazine...
QUE??? bro I'm talking about the one for $650... I wouldn't spend over $1k personally on one of these in the mintest of conditionsOriginally Posted by southside
I have tons and tons of Hondatuning mag's,always a nice car in that mag.Originally Posted by SiRed94
I think out of all of them my favorite was the one with a 1988 Honda CITY sitting inside of a living room.
I<3 me some Old cities.
I had a 86 civic with a jdm engine in it before swaps were the in thing. My wife called her daisy. She looked like hell but there was no touching her motor wise.
I gave it away due to a strange electrical issue the mechanic could not figure out. I figured it out on my rex, frigging ignition switch failing.
I still occasion look for another one. There is a guy in lawrenceville that has a few in the parts list on craigslist could probably make one out of two.
yeah the ignition switches are pieces of sh!ts on these cars... it's a pretty common problem on them...Originally Posted by rbwdriven
Yea back in 2002 a friend had a 1986 Si w/a Jspec b16.He actually brought it up to ATL and had Mahdavi Motorsports do all the work,I still have the paperwork on how much it ran somewhere in here.He made me a copy because I wanted to compair on prices. It was like $6k in parts/labor and all before he got it homeOriginally Posted by rbwdriven
but then again it was 2002.
