    Default ECU/Vtec question

    yea if you looked at my other thread on here, the guy i bought my car from didnt want to use proper wiring connections.....soo the main wires from solenoids came apart so did the vtec....and we got it back together and its flashin one......one.......1.1.1 in that order or 2 slow and 3 fast..red flashes....i looked it up and still cant figure it out and now vtec works after about 5/10 minutes of driven


    any opioins reps for whoever helps...

    that's code 23 which should be the knock sensor

    yea i found that out..how do i fix it and what about the vtec, only kickin in after the car warms up

    from what i understand vtec should only kick in when the car is warm..

    gotta wait for the internals to get nice and lubed up. vtec only works with good oil pressure

    yea VTEC will only work once the car is at normal operating temperature and the oil pressure is up to normal

    make sure the knock sensor is tight, check the wiring from the knock sensor to the ecu and if all else fails replace the knock sensor

    i'm not sure probably about a hundred bucks try to tighten it first and check the wiring
