Default Steering problem on my CRX

Yesterday, as I was making a right-hand turn, something from my steering column area clanked really loudly and since then my steering wheel is all crazy. I have to turn the wheel a full 360 to make a normal turn [left or right] and when I'm driving straight my steering wheel is usually side-ways or upside down. Also, I have to really hold onto the wheel with a lot of grip or my car will pull REALLY hard to the right. I took a few pictures on my way home tonight:

    This was driving completely straight.

This was parked with my wheels straight. My steering wheel turned like this when I pulled into the driveway.

    What's the deal?!?

    you need an aligment, BAD.
Sounds like something in the rack is broken, either a tie rod end, tie rod inner, or steering column.

DO NOT DRIVE IT, if its anything i listed you are going to have a bad accident if you drive it an somethingbreaks more.

Did the steering wheel USED to line up fine, then you heard the noise and now its out of whack?

Check the steering knuckle or rod, and like x-runner said the tie rods.

Jinkies. I was planning on taking it to this guy named Eric because he'll do the work for free but I don't want to pay for a tow truck.

I would want to get the front end in the air and see what the hell is up. If you don't know what you're looking at though, it may not help. (Sorry if I'm insulting your knowledge)

check the knuckle inside the car down at the floorboard. the bolt might of come loose. It is a spline shaft with a flat on it so the bolt can fit on it.

It is a ***** to get to so check that.

That doesn't make sense. Why would it bother you if you aren't looking at the keyboard? You wouldn't even notice.

i would have noticed it when i finished typing and looked @ the screen, then saw all A's where S's were supposed to be. and vice versa . especially if it was a long sentace or something.

So if you're not looking at the keyboard, and you're not looking at the screen while you type, what are you looking at?

Moving the keys won't change what the keyboard thinks you're pressing either.

I would check the steering rack mounting bolts as well. I've heard of them backing out before, and that could cause the symptoms you're describing.

A u-joint went bad in the steering of a BMW 320is that I had years ago, and ti would steer fine for the most part but would bind at one particular spot in the steering wheel's rotation. Complete u-joint failure should result in the complete loss of steering. So, I doubt the steering u-joint has gone bad...check the rack bolts.

A guy at school today told me that it could be the CV axle joint. He told me to replace the whole axle instead of just the boot.

x2 u will waste a lot of time, money, and effort... seek help from a professional, will be ur best option. it may cost some extra cash but it will be woth it, cuz who ever this guy is at ur school he's just guessing. if u can get a shop to look @ it then u might be able to fix the problem urself when they tell u wat is wrong.

at the bottom of the steering column inside the car there is a black cover held on by two spring clips. Take the two clips off. The the back cover will be able to be pushed down to the floor board. Look at that u-joint right there. There is a bolt that connects the inside steering column to the outside steering rack through a U-joint. It is a 12 or 14 mm bolt. Check to see if it has backed out this will cause the issue you have. If you cant seem to get somebody to know what the hell they are doing then take is to somebody that knows honda's. Before the pockets get emptied.

There's actually two bolts at the U-joint, one holding it to the steering rack and the other holding the joint to the steering column. On my car they're both 10mm.
