    Default Finally!

I took some in-car video at Roebling Road last year, and never uploaded it to youtube. I never uploaded it because I wasn't very happy with the encoding; it made the video look really washed out. I rencoded it and upped it today.

So, here's the video. It's only a lap or two, anything more and I fear people would die from the boredom, lol.

Hell yeah I'd love to race on a course .. I agree with BigD though, money is a major issue.

    Thanks, fellas.

Yeah, I know the money thing is a big issue. I started accruing track time by taking advantage of NASA's work for credit program. Eventually, I worked my way into an official's position, so now I can get on track whenever. It still isn't really a cheap hobby, though.

I'm not sure when I'm going to swap the hatch. I've thought about several different things, but it all boils down to not having any money to do much. Someday it will get done. I'm thinking I'll likely do a Z6 swap, since it would be easiest and I have the conversion harness and ECU already.

SCCA is the best way to start. there first gear membership (24 and down) is only $40 & a full membership is $80. the member ship even offers and subscription to there magazine and insurance up to a million dollars. + every event is only like $30-$35 and u dont have to go to every event. it's a great atmosphere and everyone is pretty kool and willing to lend advice or a hand if need be.

That's not a bad way to get started in autocross. AR SCCA autcrossing has gotten much better in the past few years. It wasn't a very "inviting" atmosphere several years ago. NASA's autocross program is currently getting an overhaul.

SCCA's PDX, however, is, well, lacking. You will get much more track time doing a NASA track event than what you get at a PDX. NASA's membership is $44/year and you get a subscription to Grassroots Motorsports magazine.

^ I might come to the mountain run, but I'm not sure. A friend of mine is getting married that weekend, and I still have no regular income. I have a feeling I might not be very mobile after the wedding reception, lol.

And now the video from the last autocross I went to. I had an older version up on Youtube that didn't look as good. This is reencoded, and looks a lot better.

Registration for NASA's Road Atlanta event in August should be open.
