    Default Shocks for the Rex?

Well I already have a set of Ground Control coilovers, and I was thinking about gettin these shocks. What do you guys think about these, and has anyone ever used them? I also like the Tokiko's and KYB's. Thanks for any help!
    SKUNK2 SPORT SHOCKS

    90-93 ACURA INTEGRA
    88-91 HONDA CIVIC / CRX
    (complete set of four)

Skunk2 Sport Shocks is a new line of high performance factory replacement shocks that use many of the same technologies and manufacturing processes as some of our more advanced damper systems. Shocks are designed with shorter shock bodies and short strokes so they will perform better and have more travel and be more durable at lowered ride heights.

They're a fairly new product, so I can't tell you much about them. I know one person that has the Skunk2 shocks, but he's in Virginia, and he's a bit of a car noob, so not a reliable source for a critique.

    What do they cost?

i would go wit som KYB's eiher the AGX if u want to have ajustability and u got a lil $$ to burn or the GR2's. i personally have GR2's on my celica and my hatch and i love them. i havent had the money to get the AGX's so i dont know how well they hadel one thing i do know about the AGX's... is that they cant hold more than a 2" drop or they will blow. i can attest to this cuz my girl has them on her EK coup and they blew in a year, cuz she is sitting on skunk 2 springs. i found this out fron KYB when we tryed to get the warrentied. i have skunks's on my hatch wit more than a 2" drop all the way around and i havent had any blow in the 3yrs. they have been on the car.

    but it's all up to u. g/l

I don't like the sounds of that. It seems they're more along the lines of Tokico blues or KYB GR-2s, and the price reflects that. I wouldn't buy them. Go with KYB AGX or Tokico Illuminas.

Koni Yellows by far, especially if you want to autocross or track the car.

I have a friend who Time Trials an EF sedan and he went from AGX to Yellows and said the difference was night and day.

Those Skunk 2s are likely just slightly revalved shocks/struts built some other company. I'm with jfro, though, in that the factory replacement means that they won't really have the dampening to keep up with your springs rates.

What spring rates are you running, GC OTS?

+1 Koni is where it is at

I would recomend Bilstein Sports as well, but it appears that they do not offer them for your vehicle.

Nope. Bilstien doesn't seem to cover Japanese imports as well as they do pretty much everything else. I'm a little up in the air about Bilsteins on a Japansese car. Another friend of mine just picked up a set of Bilstein Tourings for his '92 EG hatch; once those are done I'll have a better "feel" for them.

I agree with Mike. Spend the $$ now and you won't regret it.

I checked shox.com for some pricing info. KYBs from them are $429.00/set for AGXs. Koni Yellows are $520.00.

I would say save, or scrounge, the extra $100 and get the Yellows.

FYI The KYB's are much cheaper on Ebay motors.

But i'd still look into the KONI's (yellows), because they are a better shock.
