It was there first car they bought without taking out a loan or trading another car go figure it only cost about $8500 back in the day. Ever since I was nine that car has been the car of my dreams, yeah laugh at me I don't give a damn. My dad taught me how to drive stick in it when I was 13 and I pretty much learned everything I know about cars thanks to that car. Sure the plans have changed ranging from a wildly built turbo f22a to an all motor d16a6 it has always been the same slow civic that nobody loves but me. Always have and always will...

I know exactly how you feel. That red STD I posted about was purchased brand new by my mom in late 1989 as a 1990 model with the seatbelts in the doors, etc. It was handed down to me when I turned 16, and back in those days I actually thought the car was fast - thank God it wasn't or I would have probably killed myself in it.

My sister ended up with the car for about a year around the time I was 22-23 years old because she hit hard times and needed a car, so it was kind of an indefinate loan deal. During her "ownership" the car picked up some nice dents and oil leaks/lack of care - the disributor locked up and broke the timing belt about 2 weeks after I got the car back from her, so that prompted my D16A6 high compression build, ZC/Si tranny, etc. etc.
