    Lightbulb 11in Brake Upgrade

Well, I'm in the process of doing an 11in brake upgrade and wanted to know if anyone else was interested. It would be similar to Jeff's but without having to pay fastbrakes for the custom bracket and parts. It would also use a much larger caliper. The only thing is this setup would be only for people with DA, SiR, or EX knuckles, and you would have to use 15in wheels. You could get it to work on other knuckles, but it would take more machining. If you are interested LMK and we can talk though pms.

    http://fastbrakes.com/shop/product_i...roducts_id=404

So it would be basically that kit without the steel brake lines and much much cheaper.

Why are you upgrading? I cant see any need for more than da/ex brakes

Oh yea it can be done alot less using legend calipers & prelude rotors. you gotta re-drill the rotors to fit 4x100 and shave 1/8" off the bracket to fit

You're right, few people would ever need brakes better than the 10.3" OEM rotors. But that doesn't mean 11" brakes are without benefit. Besides, they is baller yo!

I just know that ive got the 10.3" on my car and have no issues with them unlike the stock sized brakes. So i try to keep my unsprung rotational mass to a minimum past what i actually need.

Well, I mean, sure, if you're a good driver, there's no need for bigger tan a 9.5" rotor...if you know how to drive it right. BUT! 10.3 looks better, and 11" looks even better. It's just one more thing you can say you've done...

I say props, Dare. Go for it. Let me know if I can of help...

...or if you need an extra DA wheel bearing...I've got one

...or if anyone wants to do a DA front swap, I've got a set for about 80$...

Well by doing the jdm conversion, I lost a good bit of weight due to the light bumper support, so I see it as just putting that weight back some where else.

People are quick to jump and say its not needed LOL. ****, half of the **** we do to our cars isn't needed. That's what the tuner world is about, modding your car with unneeded accerssories LOL.

Matt, I'm going to get the brackets machined sometime next week. So holla at me then homie and we can go there.

Oh yeah ben I may get those knuckles from you

Yeah, they did that mod to the car Princess Diana was in so that she could get away faster. Their plan was a success...the car did take off faster.

That's right, you looked at mine CONSIDERING them, but you decided to use the ones you had.

Looks like your decision turned out for the better. You don't want an extra DA bearing, do you?
