The area I grew up in is minimal in population that ISN'T white (this goes for EVERY race). They say racism isn't born...it's learned. Well...I was easily persuaded by the thoughts of those around me. So...I ended up being rather (but not by any means "full blown") racist. But...Dare shared a common interest, so I figured what the hell. I ended up becoming really involved in the EF Squad, and my two FAVORITE buddies from here (one in particular) showed me that what I'd been taught, by those too ignorant to think for themselves, was nothing more than a...crap. What's it called...something that's iconic? Example...black people eat chicken, white people love mayonnaise, etc etc. Those. I learned just from hanging with and talking to the two of them that my ways of thinking needed to change. And so...they did. Which is also kind of ironic that my ways of thinking started around the time I enrolled up at North Georgia, and my roommate was black. That's why there are lines I will NOT cross online OR in person (unless of course I'm with Jermaine, usually) such as mentioning BS about KKK and such. Because I've learned that what other people may overhear could result in their way of thinking, and misjudging...just like what happened with me. Granted, I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm an angel and I no longer many any racial comments towards any one...but I have paid much more attention to what I say, and who's around when I say it.
Why do I mention this? I frankly don't give a damn if the cheeks in the seats are black, white, hispanic, asian...whatever. As long as they have the same dedication to the car as me...that's all I really give a damn about.
My license plate, however, means "Built To Handle." Because back in the day, I heard alot of "ha, your car will never be fast." Granted...most of my buddies drove redneck trucks and/or Corvettes, BMW's, Mercedes, and the likes. I knew I couldn't outrun them in a highway pull, or a drag. So...my idea was to be the best at something they couldn't. The mountains. So I ended up making my idea become an obsession. And...to date...none of my buddies have been able to stay in my rearview up in the twisties when I drive that car. So basically, it means "Built to handle...not for speed." Because speed isn't what makes a car "fast." I was faster than them with 92hp at the crank when they would have up to 200, give or take.
