    Default wheels 15x7 or 15x8's?

ok well i am now the proud owner of a 90 civic si and was wondering first off about wheel sizes. I want to put some of the axis 15x8's on it. do you think that this would work well on it or should i go for the 15x7's and if anyone know what offset works best could you lemme know. thanks guys

15x7 will fit better than 15x8. Look for an offset of about +35 to +40.

wider is heavier, and when your wheels are sticking out they look like ****.

15x7s would be best.. 15x8s would only be cool depending on the offset... +25 and above but then again i dont know how deep a EFs are from fender to body before you have scrubbing issues..

Someone left two spares at the shop, and two 14" steelies. I plan to smoke 'em...then chunk 'em.

None the less, yeah, wider is SUPPOSEDLY better...but only in turns. If you're on a flat...the wider the tire, the less downforce you have on the contact patch. Same goes with diameter of the wheel. Then you start playing with traction in digs, too...

    Um, no.

The force will still be roughly the same in the vertical, however, your friction force will increase. Downforce typically implies an aerodynamically induced increase over the down force that result from a mass being acted on by gravity. Having a wider tire in contact with the ground will change the area (making that area larger, or increasing the contact patch) and distrubuting the same force due to mass over a larger area. But, because the area has been increased the total friction force will also increase.

    how about 15x6.5???

Why does everyone want to throw ultra wide rims on their EFs? Unless your car is a race car I wouldn't go over 7 inches.

i think i want some wide tires because i like the way wide wheels/tires look. Also i guess im wanting the wide wheels because of the deep lip i can get with them anyone know of any good looking wheels on an EF that have quite a deep lip?
