nope... 15, even with a 205/50 will be fine... That's what I"m running, tucking about .5" of tire without any scrubbing issues.

they're a lot bigger than 40s like you were talking about.

+40 is a good offset to have, that's not "crazy" or anything. Crazy on a honda is +15 or +0.

a better place to buy those wheels is www.modacar.com, the price is much more reasonable there.

205/50 is the perfect size to run with those wheels.

Got this from H-T this might help when choosing tires

What size tires should I get?

The proper size depends on your car, not just the wheels you are using.

For a CRX, del sol, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

    13" - 175/70-13
    14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
    15" - 195/50-15
    16" - 205/40-16, 195/45-16

For an Integra or '97-00 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

    14" - 185/65-14, 195/60-14
    15" - 195/55/15, 205/50-15
    16" - 205/45-16, 215/45-16
    17" - 205/40/17

This is open for discussion and by no means what you have to get, but as a general rule you cannot go wrong with these sizes.

    here's the pics I promised:

    Racing Hart CP035
    15 x 7.5, +40 offset

    I'd actually recommend a 15x8 in +24 offset though.....

I he was searching hard for them, but couldn't find them anywhere. So he had to settle for the rota version

First decide your price range and style and then I can direct you to a site.

Do you want a "real" rims or a knock off?
Do you want to pay $300 or $1500?
Do you want new or use?

here a site with just about every wheel made

    http://www.wheelspecs.com/

Decide on what rim you want then go on the hunt!

Like me, I always wanted a set of RS Watannabes/SSR RS-8. It took me about four years (and three sets of wheels) to finally get them for a reasonable price. They aren't in the best condition (thats why they not on the car yet), I got what I want! Now I'm about to pay about $500 (on top of the price of them wheel) just to get them restored to the condition I want them to be in. Dont forget I got to invest in some tires too LOL. Gotta pay to play!!!!

I know this place may (or may not) be in your budget, but check it out for some ideas.

    .....SSR Longchamps for me

can't find those in a 4x100 though. I'd have to pull a dirtyoctopus and switch out my hubs JUST to run a sweet 4x114.3 wheel.

I meant the Longchamp XR-4 lol

offset is a little wicked, but +27 is a lot more manageable than the +15 i had earlier this year.

well i could get a set of NEW rota slips for 450 or so..... so somewhere around that price range. im not opposed to spending 1500 on a set of wheels ....but i hadn't planned on it. as long as they're LIGHT and look good i don't care if they're knock offs or not.

    NEW
    450-ish
    knock off or real idc

LOL, nah I'm surprised no one I know has told me, not just you.

Of all the mechanics and import people I know around here, none of them have ever mentioned Jarco. I'm almost disappointed in them...

what's the point of wide ass rims? a good 6 or 6.5 will be be fine unless your building a race car

^ it's amazing how noticeable the difference between a 6.5" and a 7" tire is in a hard corner.

Step it up a notch to 8" and lateral grip is a lot better. Although 8" is a little overkill on anything other than a drag car...

I still dont see the purpose on a dd. It's not like you're rally racing or doing mountain runs every week.
