    Default H22a/B18C1/B20 vtec

so what you think? all of which i believe will fit in a crx, im not entirely sure about the h22 though

motor will be built completely, able to run to 10k rpm, head and block.

either a type r tranny or a gsr.... im leaning towards the R for the shorter gears.

    what are your opinions?

I would go with just with a b16 swap (it would be alot greater than the sohc zc you had in the other car). If you want to upgrade it later buy a b20 or ls and prep that for a ls/vtec or b20/vtec. That way you wont have to piece parts together, already have a short geared tranny, and a vtec head for the conversion.

yea, i agree with dare, unless you're made of money.

get an LS, and then when u get sum money build it up and slap a b16 head on it if you want.

    ^ ls/vtec wouldnt be bad...

im just getting peoples opinions on what they have done or would do and why. i havent set my mind on any particular motor.... when i met darryl at the varsity we were discussing a b20/vtec. i still think i may go that path but not sure. ill make more serious decisions when the $$$ starts being built up

now for another question? i know that you cant build a chevy v8 with 12.1+ compression without using race gas.

can you build a honda with over 12:1 compression and just run premium gas? or would it run but shitty

Straight up H22, stock or with bolt-ons will rape all other B-Series motors.
