    Default Traction bars are here!

I just went to Columbus to pick up my traction bars!!! YES!!! Now I hope this help reinforce my frontend and now I can adjust my caster back into spec!!!

Anyways, I went with Avid traction bars. I believe Bucky has the same brand but the older generation (since them changed them slightly this past winter). They are pretty nice because they replaces your crossmember but mounts to your front tow hook bolt holes.

I'm going to replace my rear crossmember first and then I'll be ready.

It maybe the same ones, really depends on when Halfwit them.

I dont really know who I'm going to get to adjust them. I may get vuong to put them on and see if firestone can adjust my caster back into spec (since I got lifetime on alignments). That's the main reason why I got is for a caster adjustment.

They may do it but i doubt firestone is gonna wanna mess with your caster since its not typically adjustable on your car.

trac bars wont fix a camber issue, youve probably got a bent knuckle or control arm

what year gsr did they come from? DA knuckles will also affect your camber but it didnt make mine go positive on my car when i put them on, do you have an alignment spec sheet?

Gotcha, the DA knuckles will change your camber/caster slightly because they are taller than EF knuckles, but i did before & after alignment on my car when i did the DA knuckles and it didnt make it go positive.. how much is your car lowered? id still think youve got something bent

Yea i run DA front + rear, the fronts are larger diameter brake rotor. The best setup is to find 90-91 EX sedan knuckles because they are the same geometry as the dx/si knuckles but have the larger brakes (same rotors & calipers as DA).

DA knuckles aren't the right way to go due to suspension geometry and the fact that they sacrifice shock travel.

You need EF knuckles, preferably EX or siR ones if you want to upgrade to bigger brakes. If that's not in your budget currently, then go with run of the mill si knuckles.

They're not hard to find - I have two sets FS myself!

Please let us know how the AVID bars are. I have the JIMFAB setup myself and like it, but had to cut it out and reweld a brace to strengthen it so it would clear my header.

I'd like to see how a full race setup would look and fit on my EF.

I wanted the JIMFAB but they stop making them, sucks and full race ones were too high and then they wanted you to buy their radiator. NOPE! I'll let you whenever I get a chance to get them installed.
