I swear to god, I'm about to sell this damn thing...

Went to alan cox and personally talked to the dude working on it. He wants me to bring him an injectore resistor box because he thinks that's why the cylinders are running cool. He thinks the injectors are running wide open all the time...

Problem. Resistor box was only on the 90-91 which was OBD0. The engine i have is setup for OBD1, and is a 92 motor. So...I didn't put in an injector resistor box...

WTF.

I swear. I'm ready to sell. Ready to buy a late 70's 240z and give every emissions place in georgia the finger when I drive by them...

...when Alan Cox...a shop that specializes in swaps and performance (basically Kennesaw's version of Mainstream) has had it for a week and a day and stands over it beside me looking at it scratching his head...I'm starting to lose faith.

I'm looking at two ideas in seriousness.

1) Getting a new car. It would probably be a 1970's Z or something where I wouldn't have to worry about emissions due to age. Something pre-82. The civic would then become a TRACK-ONLY vehicle.

2) Getting another civ hatch. It would be painted and look IDENTICAL to the one I currently own. It would keep it's little d15/d16, and I would only modify the brakes, suspension, and gut the bastard. Being stock, and keeping it maintained, it would pass emissions. Trade the tag between the two cars as I please. Yes, highly illegal, but as long as I don't get in a huge pileup where they have to investigate, I should be fine...

Dont give up!!! Just look at Robert! He hasnt drove his car since November, and everytime he losses faith, BAM. Something good happens. Better yet look at Casey and Bottlefed. Casey has drove his car more than a weekend and B-fed hasnt drove his REX in years, but their love for the EF hasnt lessen yet! You will be able to ride in your Hatch soon, just pe patient!

Cuz my dad INSISTED on taking it to Alan Cox because he deal's with the management there. He suggested Mainstream and that was a no-go. Something needs to happen soon, though, or else I'll be visiting Mainstream. And if I visit mainstream, I may throw them money under the table and be like "Dad, look it passed! Gimmee my damn tag, now!" In addition, if I go there, I'll probably have a conversation with Turbo Dave, and I'm sure I'll LET him talk me into considering a snail...

I'd be taking the OTHER B18 I've got here at the house and tearing everything apart and redoing all the seals and such. A full complete rebuild, probably go ahead and build the bottom end while I'm at it, and take Dave's advice on whatever parts or build he suggests I go with (IE, LSVTEC, or stay turbo LS, and how big of a turbo, etc)

Originally I was putting a b16 in my car. Decided I wanted more torque. GSR was too expensive, so I was going to build turbo LS. Opted against it for turbo-lag reason. Decided to build an "ultimate" LSVTEC setup with a b18b I got from NAD Auto. Had it pulled apart. Had Si pistons, and Si head, and a badass intake manifold. Traded it all off (even trade) for the assembled LS + LS cable tranny I currently have in the car. Now that it's in and not passing...if the engine won't pass STOCK...I may as well just build something and not worry about emissions. I can either fail with a stock LS, or I can fail with whatever I build that'll be more powerful than my stock LS. Now that I have a b18 OUT of the car that I can build without being on the time crunch of needing to get the engine back in the car, I'll build it however I want. Hopefully it'll be done next summer, and I'll pull the B18 outta the car, and put in the NEW B18. The stock b18 will probably be sold off, or I'll rebuild it, and put it in a DA shell and sell it off.

I've also still got my stock D15 in the basement I'm still debating what I wanna do with
