I'll take a theory-shot at this... Have you done a compression test? It's possible your headgasket is leaking and when it warms up it seals properly. Can you give us anymore symptoms? And are you sure it's steam and not white smoke?

Oh...and by the way, when you turn your car off it should sound like it's not running on any cylinders.

One thing I'm wondering, though. Putting the OBD1 B18A1 into the EF...fuel pressure regulator goes to a valve in the integra. I dont' have this valve in the civic, nor do I have a hookup. What to do with it?

there should be a hookup for every. Take a pic of what you are talking about.

well, got the car running but, when i rev it to 2k and hold it, it surges,
i have a code 14 iacv when it was in my other car didnt have this prob so, i assume its wiring, anyone know what the hell to do lmao

i think its going to be at the ecu harness, i need to de pin or something.

Good/Bad news...we have a new theory why she doesn't wanna pass. Vacuum lines were done wrong (by me...yes, I take credit for messing them up) and so the MAP sensor was run to the wrong port, etc. We did the best we could to run it correctly today, and we THINK we got it. It now revvs DOWN smoother and doesn't try to shut off, and it's alot more responsive, and the fuel rail pressure is starting to manage itself...

Slowly but surely..just a matter of time, right?

No you didn't, but considering I left her apartment at 5pm on SUNDAY I am glad we stayed in now.

Good call on the vacuum lines y0! That should definitely help your situation, if not resolve it.

oh sorry it was late and i was flat out tired. Um i mean when i turn it off and start it back up 5/10 min - 1hour later it will run horrible for a few min then it will even out. Sometimes it wont even let me start. I am pretty sure its dying. I am burning oil off, and coolant is magically disapperaing. Altho no smoke comes out my exhaust, the only thing after it warms up is black smoke when i get on her. I was just wondering, i guess i know what im going to be doing this weekend. time to get the engine from my friend and build her up.!

Where is a good place to get some good pistons for a d16a6? Basically i need a good block setup.. nothing overwhelming with $$$ it has a complete head and nothing but block and crank.. i need some good stuff.. anyone>

Ask (I know I'm gonna fuck up names again..) toonz about turboing the D16. Sounds to me like your motor could use a good rebuild...but that's just me. Is the fuel pump and main relay good to go? Doesn't sound like the fuel main, though. Those either work or they don't. They won't cause sputtering. Tried running some "restore" oil additve and/or a bottle of "heet" or a bottle of "fuel system cleaner" yet?
