just got done looking @ that thread... why cant we have huge meets like that? i mean, did they even do anything @ their meet? or did they just meet @ the V and chill...?

I saw ToonZ lurking on the community today.

EF people will never have a huge meet because of the mentality that EF people don't come to meets. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everyone says, "I'm not going to the EF meet, nobody shows up" and that's exactly what happens.

lol, no one is dedicated. and the heavy hitters are either touring the country, are too scared of the mountains, or are in another state.

I was at the ''da'' meet which was initially just a Honda meet. I made it out right after picking my EF up. I'd be down to put up a meet thread in the Events section if you guys want to get together. I'm eager to see some of your rides and maybe pick your brains.

I did post pictures of my purchase in the Car Pics section, too.

Exactly, the next meet needs to be basic. A "meet" is much easier for everyone to attend. Some people don't do the mtns, and others don't go out a drag, but everyone can just meet up at a spot and chill, Something simple.

Maybe nobody comes because everyone is so cliquey and don't talk to new people when they actually do come out. Plus for some of us its a long drive to come all the way down to atlanta all the time.

i think it's more of the long drive than anything... cause there's like 3+ ef's in columbus, and then there's u and slow_hatch up in the mountains.... just doesn't seem like everyone is around the same general area.

you'd be surprised there are a bunch of us up in the dahlonega area but its just not worth it to drive 1.5 hours to Atlanta and leave 11pm only to get back after midnight especially on a weeknight. But when everyone gets together in Gainesville and my car is roadworthy (and I've got time) i usually come out. I've been to several meets in the Gainesville area in the last year or so

gainesville isn't THAT bad of a drive for me, but still, it's kinda far to be going on a week night w/ school and work the next day.

I agree.

The largest turnout we had so far was when we went to Applebee's and ate

(just fyi, that meet had over 20 efs)

Well, I have to disagree with that one. I never try to exclude anyone (when I'm at a meet). I talk to everyone there and try to get them participate with the rest of the group. It's really up to the person if they want to get down or just be an outsider.

The very 1st EF meet was the only meet that was "in" Atlanta and that was going on 3 years ago. Since I form the Squad, all the other meets were somewhere else [Marettia (dinner meets), Powder Springs (dyno meet), Roswell (applebee's meet), and the mountains(just about every other meet)].

Also, the meets are planned months in advanced, so everyone can make arrangements. Everyone says they are down but when that weekend comes people forget, get sick, go out of town, complain about gas, complain about locations, or complain about what's going on. The worst part of that is we have multiple threads about dates, locations, and events trying to best accommodate every.That's the main reason why I stop going out of my way to plan the meets.
