I'm not, but there are quite a few IA'ers, and at least one EF driver that will be racing. I'm probably going to VIR to flag for NASA-MA that same weekend.

I'm going to Carolina Motorsports Park the first weekend of February, and NASA will be at RA in March.

In addition to homework, I started working on my Porsche again. I'm resealing an engine, replacing the clutch, rebuilding the power steering rack, and reinstalling the engine and hoping and praying that the damn thing holds together long enough to sell it.

Pics of the Porsche? I don't have any right now, and it's not really anything that special. It's a 1984 944. I'll get some pics once it's down off of jack stands. There was a pic from Roebling Road last May before the the car broke that was pretty good, but I just checked the photographer's web site and it's gone .

My granddad had an 86 924 or 944...can't remember. But I LOVED that car, and would want one minus the reliability issues...

Mom's good. Just a small surgery. Didn't even put her to sleep. Apparently that was an abnormality on her bottom lip that wasn't supposed to be there, so they just put her on Vicodin and lidocaine and put her in the chair. Nothing big at all. Just sucked for me cuz I had to sit and wait for like an hour...LoL

If it was a 1986 it would have been a 944. There is a 1987, and maybe 1988, 924S that is basically a 944 but without the flared fenders. They're lighter than the 944 with the same engine, and suspension. I could go on with more about the 924 and 944 history but I'll stop.

Yeah, it was a 944S, then. That sounds right. But I know for sure it was the S, i just couldn't ever remember if it was 924 or 944...but again, I know it was a 1986 9##S.

I wanted to buy it when I hit 16...but granddad said it had too many issues.

Now...I drive an EF... Funny how life just ends up as one big circle...

Darryl, when you slow down in ur B16 while it's in gear... like, say you bring it up to 80, and then let of the throttle and let it slowly slow down, does ur check engine light come on?

And do both of you have BOTH of your oxygen sensors hooked up? Cause my dad's b16 always ran like **** w/ both O2 sensors hooked up, but he switched around 2 plugs and now he can run with both oxygen sensors, never a check engine light, and the car pulls harder....

No check engine lights here. I'm obd1 now so I only use one o2 sensor. Tell your father to convert to obd1. He'll thank me in the long run.

umm.. yea, he needs to go obd1, but dude, with all the money he's recently dumped into his motor, he could have got another b16, or sold me his b16 and got a type r motor

I don't remember telling him to get a pr3. Basically the pw0 and pr3 are the same ecus (exception is the obd1 pr3). Is he throwing any cels?

if your dads hatch doesnt have braces in the front i see not point in dumping alot of money into a b16 if he really has spent as much as you say he is gonna be really dissapointed in the numbers it will put down

F*ckin' emissions is KILLIN' me, man...

Last year didn't wanna pass cuz it was too rich. Threw on a manual regulator and cut it down to like 25psi or something like. This year it's running TOO lean. I WAS cruising at 21-22psi, but oh my god trying to get the car to "spool up" to engage the clutch left me almost rolling into cars so I brought it back up to 25. For some reason...twice, the CEL came on. Still not sure why...she's not throwing any codes. Pulled the cat (I'm failing cuz NOX is too high) and the element is semi-white, and still in tact and good to go.

*shrugs* I don't know...tomorrow (friday) I'll be making another attempt.

I can't wait til I don't have to deal with this sh*t anymore...
