Yeah, it really did take a nosedive.
I think it's cuz we got threatened to have the thread locked for postwhoring...
I got the new wheels on today.
I went with 205/50-15 General Exclaim UHP tires. They're the highest rated ultra-high performance tire on Tire Rack, and the price was right. They're also light for tires, just 18 pounds. In hindsight though, I should have gotten Kumho Ecsta MX's for $17 more. These Generals are decent, but already I can say that I won't buy them again. They have high levels of grip, but they have very soft sidewalls. Turn-in response and straight-line tracking are poor. Once settled into a corner though, they do hold on very tight.
I also decided last night to remove the Neuspeed sticker from my front strut brace. I think it looks a ton better.
Next weekend I'll start disassembling the glass roof and get it prepped for installation.

i took a d15 out of a parts car, but it was so stripped i jsut disconnected everything and a few guys lifted the car over the motor..lol

Haha, nice. Yeah, the integra I was parting out...I got bored and lifted the entire front end up (without the engine) by hand. I was drinking...and that inhibited my thought process that the core support had a shart edge. I cut my pinky up pretty bad...but I still impressed the girl...LoLoL
Well, I've got two, as stated. One that you could drop in and run to hell and back with, and one that needs a rebuild.
The one that could run you to hell and back, I rebuilt when it hit 183K miles. Cylinder's 2 and 4 needed rings, so we said screw it, and went all out. Head was decked and sent off to the machine shop to an AWESOME builder we us in Acworth. Old guy. Doesn't do ANY advertising...all of his business is either by word-of-mouth, or personal acquaintences he has. Either way, he's awesome. Some of the valves were replaced, and the whole thing was overhauled NICELY. The bottom end was honed out; no scoring on the cylinder walls or pistons. All new bearings and gaskets and such. I've driven this motor across the country without a problem. It now has 271K miles on it, but still runs like day 1. The only problem it has is a MINOR oil leak around the oil pump. Everything's good on it. I've got a starter and alternator for it if you want those, as well.
The second one was just pulled from Kyle's car in a deal we have worked out. It was supposed to be built and sold to a guy from Honda-Tech, but after I got the engine in my posession, I called the guy up, and he backed out. So now I'm stuck with it. Mileage is unknown, but Kyle said it WOULD run for a second or two, then die. There's oil leaking where the head meets the block, so my assumption is the headgasket blew on it. I haven't split this thing open, and I won't if I can get rid of it first, but if someone did buy it off me, I would garuntee it to be rebuildable...IE if there's a crack on a cylinder wall or something that would prevent a good rebuild, I would offer money back.
Let me know. I'm already out of room in my basement, and some of this stuff has to go.
