1999 Ford Mustang GT

This mustang had a previous custom system installed in it. We changed it out to the DB Drive Okur line. We also perform interior work to bring it back to life.

Interior:
We replaced several interior pieces that were showing wear. We also replaced the dark gray carpet to new black carpet so it will flow with the trunk and make the interior pop.

Audio:
Since it is a convertible, we used the new DB Drive K5F Flat Subwoofers. They are placed in a sealed enclosure. The DB Drive A5 1200.1 amp is pushing them while the A5 125.4 is pushing the mids/highs. The trunk lining was rewraped with black carpet to match the interior carpet and the enclosure sides. The rest of the trunk was wrapped in red and white suede. We also placed the DB Drive logo in the middle of the amps.

2009 Scion XB 6.0 Release Series

The Scion had come custom work that was done by the customer. They had a basic layout of what they wanted and all the equipment. So we are basically taking what they already have and reinstalling everything properly. Along with taking all the rough edges and making them shine. So we did not do this build or design, simply made it look much better.

FYI, this project was turned down by Sound Sensations.

Audio/Video:
We refinished the subwoofer enclosure that is housing 4 10" Kicker CVR subs. Along with wrapping some of the rear side panels that previously had speaker pods. Along with that, we are adding 2 6.5" monitors and 4 Kicker 6.5" speakers to the rear deck and wrapping it. All total the Scion has 14 monitors installed, 8 speakers, 2 amps, and 4 subs.

1996 Audi A4 Quattro

The Audio/Video was all Alpine equipment including one headunit and 2 monitors. The system consisted of 2 12" Alpine Type X's and 3 PDX Series amps...1 per sub and 1 to the mids/highs.

These first shots are of how everything looked from the outside...overall not bad. The leather/suede seats were clean and had a good quality install. The system however, not so much. The first problem the new owner had was for 2 12" high-end subs and 2000rms...they did not have much output. SQL was good, but sounded like a factory sub set-up. In comparison, one of our other vehicles with a Infinity Basslink hit just as hard as this system.

So we are going to overhaul the complete system in the trunk to a new design and will have both SQL and SPL.

We have been pushing this project due to our workload with customers, but today his sub amps start turning off. For the passed weeks, the sub itself would turn on and off. So we started taking the old system apart. As soon as we start to pull panels, we see what is lurking behind it.

The wires are tangled together, not ran behind panels, pinched in 2 places, and cheap fuse block. The battery is not bolted down and is sliding all over. The terminals are loose on the battery due to this. The fuseblock is also not bolted down and is sliding everywhere. Also, the battery was suppose to be mounted in the wheel well per the owner's instructions, but instead is laying behind the enclosures. They wrapped cheap wood with suede to use for the floorboard. It was torn up after placing the enclosures in the trunk, so they covered it with another sheet od suede. Just simply laid it on top. On top of this, the fiberglass enclosures where very thin and simply pressing on them would make them crack. Not to mention, they used a battery that is for 600 watt systems and the RMS of these 3 amps is around 2400 watts.

No, not yet. The owner was deciding on what he wants to do in it which is what has prolonged it. We will be doing RE Audio in it...3 sets of XXX components, 1 15" XXX sub, 3 VLX amps, and a JBL processor. It is about a 4 day build with the design we are going to do. Right now, we are too slammed with work to start it...the owner works for us. We have 3 other project/demo cars that we have that will be completed this year, but with customers work, it may take the rest of the year to complete all of them.

We are actually just working on it now. We are only doing it around other installations...so it will take 2-3 weeks to complete.

The complete system will be Polk Audio Mids/Highs and DB Drive Sub/Amps. The trunk will have a DB Drive K9 15" subwoofer firing into the cabin. It will be trimmed off on the inside of the car and the trunk. It will have a see-thru plexi window along with edge lit plexi. Everything will be wrapped in vinyl and suede.

John Deere Gator - Scytek G20 Alarm and Proximity Sensor Install

I forgot to take actual photos of the alarm installation. We did this install for the Dept. of Corrections. It included a proximity sensor so the alarm would go off as soon as you attempted to get inside.

We also installed a headunit with a custom dash kit about 2 weeks after the alarm.

Dodge Nitro - 4 Channel Amp/Subwoofer Amp/Subwoofer Install

The customer brought us the vehicle and currently had a Sony Xplod amp and Sony sub installed. He wanted something to hit a little harder along with installing a 4 channel amp to his interior speakers. He only wanted to spend a certain amount, so we used the Bass Inferno 4 Channel amp along with 2 Kenwood 12" subwoofers being puched by his Sony amp. We hid the amps below his rear panel with the wires tucked.

Toyota Camry - Kenwood CD Player Installation

This vehicle already had an aftermarket radio installed by a local car audio shop. The first photo shows what it looked like once the headunit was removed. They cut the factory harness and used crimp caps to connect the wires. The second photo was after we redid the wiring and was about to drop the headunit in the dash. A lot of shops do poor quality installations when wires are hidden like this...even bigger shops that are well known.

Custom System Build - Porsche 944

We decided to go with something that was going to pop and stand out, but still wanted to keep it simple so it flows with the rest of the interior.

Audio:
The audio system includes a Pioneer DEH-P4200UB CD player, Memphis M-Class interior speakers, 10" Memphis M3 Subwoofer, and 2 DB Drive amps. The trunk is wrapped in both black and beige vinyl along with beige suede which will match the beige leather and suede seats.

Chrysler 300C - Viper 5900 Alarm/Keyless/Remote Starter/2-Way Installation

This a customer that we have done several cars for. The alarm system was previously installed on another 300 that they had. It was installed by a car audio shop that is near us. The same shop removed the alarm from that 300. The customer brought us the system. The first photo shows what we were brought and the second shows what it looked like before installation. This is a shop that has before recommended on this site before, but as you can see...there is no quality in the installation.
