Plus the safety issue of a driver hitting a wall. That's why it's done in a open lot...this isn't a professional series: some pro's, near pro's, novices, amateurs, etc...either way people do go off the track, and like you said temporary barriers do move, so i think at this level more injury would be caused from having the barriers in place.
