Anyone remember Southeastern Dragway in Dallas,GA?

I was just sitting here looking through some old pictures and ran across the ol drag racing pictures from dallas dragway. i was born in 92 (yeah im a youngin)and my mom married my ex stepdad in 94 and he used to race there. well actually his mom,dad,brother,and neice raced there. i went there every weekend from 94 to 2005 when it closed and i was just wondering if anyone went there or remembered it at all. it was a great track and i looked forward to the end of the week so i could go watch the races. since it closed we still have commerce and the friday night drags at AMS but it isnt the same. i have alot of memories at this track.

I liked it because it was so close. I probably made 100+ passes there

Yeah... I did well over 12+ passes in an evening until I ran out of nitrous.

new people started moving into the nearby neighborhoods and kept complaining to the city about the loud noises and how crowded the roads were on race days so it was closed down in 2005. i think they should have thought about it before they moved near a drag strip. of course theres gonna be loud sounds and traffic on race days.

Never was able to go when it was open, but I went last year and drove down the strip as i was checking it ou, just to get a feel for what used to be.

I'ts pretty close to my house. I'm gonna run down there one of these days and see if I can get in to take some pictures.
